    It will also depends what you want to do/use it for.

    a friend of mine makes knives from the CPM steels. I have several of his knives, he is my friend and they are good knives. Those knives are hard to sharpen. I prefer a carbon steel blade. I recently picked up a couple green river blanks from Smokey Mountain Knife Works, not that I really needed them.
