Good afternoon Lone Wolf and all,

Today's weekend Wall Street Journal ( Sat-Sun 5-6 Oct) has the lead letter to the editor titled "Voters and Their MPs See Brexit Differently". It's written by a Gregg Cunningham of Dana Point, California.

It explains much about the subject and "democracy".

Can't link because WSJ is payroll.

Perhaps someone can find the letter carried elsewhere and post here.

Here it is: All between my dashed lines is quote from WSJ with full attribution to 'em.

Joseph C. Sternberg's ("British Politics Is Working Too Well," Political Economics, Sept. 27) speaks for elites on every continent when he declares that any anti establishment referendum win is illegitimate unless voters prevail by more than "a simple majority." He insists that a populist victory is never a true victory unless the victors surmount "a high bar". How high ? That's up to the elites who rig the game to raise that bar as often and insurmountably as is required to thwart the popular will.

The globalists, for instance, forced Ireland to vote again in 2009 on constitutional changes related to the European Union after voting them down in 2008, bludgeoning the nationalists into submission.Denmark had to vote twice (1992 and 1993) before the establishment managed to win approval of the Maastricht Treaty. Voters in Norway were compelled to reject EU membership in 1972 and again in 1994 before the continentals grudgingly conceded that "no" actually meant "no". French voters rejected the proposed EU constitution in 2006 to no avail because the politicians took the issue out of their hands and permitted the National Assembly to effectively nullify their vote. The establishment simply forces "redos" until it achieves what it wants.

Contemporaneous U.K. remainers demand that politics negate democracy because the unwashed masses couldn't possibly have understood the folly of the franchise they so foolishly squandered. What they do understand, however, is that the current Parliament will never permit the U.K. to to exit the EU without an agreement, which amounts to "remain" by another name.

As MP remainers strive to undo the Brexit vote, they struggle as well to deny electors a vote which threatens to achieve a truly representative Parliament. Time may well favor the Brexiters, whose anger and numbers appear to be growing.

anything less than leaving is anti democratic, whether we leave with a deal or no deal is immaterial, we voted by a majority to LEAVE, pure and simple.
17.4 million voters are watching to see what happens, if we don't leave the conservative party is history.

I put my opinion way behind that of a UK member but personally think leaving the Union is a great thing . I predict there could be a small economic temporary downturn of the economy , as the people regain their footing . The sheeple will feel this the most , with preppers finding it easy . The U.S. has their back and will help restore any sagging economy . In the end they will be the envy of the casterated countries that didn't have gall to leave .

once we leave and make it on our own other countries will want to follow which is what the EU is scared of. Europe is in a right mess, all the countries have problems with protests in France and high unemployment in many others, Germany who really runs the EU is heading for a recession.
the time to get out is now.
