Lost When Drunk

I remember a time when I used to drink beer sporadically especially when I got a windfall. I had patronised a pub across the ridge to our village and it was already dark when I commenced on the journey home. I followed an unfrequented route to avoid being waylaid only to get lost in a farm. Thinking that I was far away from home, I entered into a compound and started knocking to get directions to our village only to be told that the road that leads to our home is just outside their gate, huh!
