My Teacher Survived A 8.2 Earthquake

    So there's this thing every year when I was in school where the teachers would share an experience during a disaster, all to teach kids about what to do during these events. It was a disaster day or something, where they will do earthquake drills or fire drills, just so the students know what to do and where to go. Anyway, she told us about the story when the city she was in suffered an 8.2 earthquake back in the 90s, and she had to go to evacuation centers just to get food. She also heard of people who were trapped in buildings, who survived by eating toilet paper and dipping it in condiments, then drinking their own urine. Pretty riveting stuff when listening to these stories as a kid.
