Cooking on flat rocks seem to be just as easy as using a frying pan. I saw a video where someone cooked steaks and potatoes on flat rocks around a fire. This really seems easier to do without the risk of broiling everything too much to where it's overdone or burnt. Has anyone ever cooked on flat rocks before? If so how did everything turn out?

I can’t say that I have, but it isn’t hard to believe. There were certain sects of people that would bake bread for days without fire, just by using flat stones and the heat of the sun.

I have cooked bread & biscuits on rock, one of my videos shows this. Meat I cook in front of the fire on a stick, everything else I cook in a small camp kettle.
