Welcome from Alaska. Priorities are food, water, security, and shelter. While water is easy fill as many containers as possible out of the faucet, it's free. You already have shelter, unless you abandon it. Security, could be a problem in France. I'd prefer a gun, a shotgun would be nice. Start a garden, hunt... Learn skills, take classes, watch YouTube, learn from a friend, read this and other forums, ask us.

    Bonjour Niemeil,

Glad to hear that you are now a "Prepper".

Don't fatigue yourself with supplies. What is important is water and what your son requires - plenty of clean clothes, and so forth.

The supplies are for later worries.

Write here any questions you have.

NB: I miss UTA French Airlines !

    Hi,

Thanks you for all welcome message :) .

Food / water, my wife and i have the stash for one month for us (included our son). I know, it's very light :/ .

Thanks you for yours very good advices ! Included the clothes.

@Pragmatist : In french, it is "Mes salutations les plus distinguées" but it's so French......... So chic..... So boring ? ^^.

@arctic bill : Bad, strict quarantine, and government lies about numbers of infected people but.... it is as usual.... The system will collapse for sure... Bank in the mess situation.... And you ? How are things in USA ? Alaska is it lucky ?

Again, thanks you very much !

Welcome to the world of prepping!

I have answered a few calls from old friends that also suddenly realized the need to prepare lately.

My recommendation is to do a quick read up on "Maslow's hierarchy of needs". Begin focusing on Physiological needs:
    Homeostasis
    Health
    Food
    Water
    Sleep
    Clothes
    Shelter

Next focus on your Safety needs:
    Personal security
    Emotional security
    Financial security
    Health and well-being
Safety needs against accidents/illness and their adverse impacts

You'll have to prioritize and take action on these subjects depending on your specific situation. You don't need to be a specialist, just reflect on your needs from this perspective.

It may seem daunting, but it sounds like you're already on your path! Just remember to take one step at a time in and you'll soon look back and be amazed how much better prepared you are than before.

@Proton Entropy : Thanks for your to-do list, i like that sort of things, i help me to organize a plan.

Currently, i'm training two hours per day to rigging, use firesteel, apply best practices, transform my edv to bov and perfect my edc.
My bobs (one for me and the other for my wife) are in progress.... is far from perfect...

I have to grow (quickly ?) my knowledge because equipments without knowledge is useless.

@Pragmatist : no problem ;) your french compare with my english is perfect ^^ .

Welcome to the site! Alongside food, water, security, etc. another essential priority is clean air to breathe! Invest in a gas mask and filters.
