    Good afternoon all,

    Per ...

This article is applicable to Preppers - and not necessarily during an emergency evac or disaster. Accelerated preparations can also generate nightmares.

Important: [nightmares] ... "some vivid dreams help to process the emotions of the previous day". This processing does work well if one reads up a little on dream interpretation.

Note a new type of view re nightmares: "If you fix the nightmare first, you can fix the other things that are happening [ ......]".

Thanks to PTSD, I learned how to lucid dream. I don't dream very often any more. Thankfully.

I dont think I've ever had a nightmare, maybe as a kid but certainly nothing in my adult life but then I'm probably the most placid person one could know unless someone does something stupid, probably why I dont have much to do with the masses.

That must be nice. I never had one until after I left the Army. I sometimes wonder if I would have been better off as a farmer or an artist.
No do overs or extra lives in real life.

I don't have nightmares often at all but when I do they are always frustration based rather than fear based. I don't have many fears of things. My nightmares are nearly always about me trying to do something and it just keeps messing up over and over.

I think that I don't have many fear dreams because when I was a kid my Dad had almost no patience with my fears. If I said that I was afraid of something he usually made me do it. At some level I refuse to admit my fears, even to myself, because to me admiting my fears results in having to face it and deal with it.

Every night, I have a string of soul-killing nightmares. In life, on innumerable occasions, I've seen people with their guts laid out on stainless steel tables. I've seen heads cut open in Anatomy labs. On and on. When it hits the fan, you will have to adapt mentally. Life can be well beyond hell. Imagine dead bodies filling a room. Imagine the smell.

I'm packing it too much to watch the links!

Funny you should mention nightmares. I don't usually have them, but have had them for the past 2 nights. The first one was so realistic, when I woke up I was sobbing like a baby. It took a few seconds to realise it was just a nightmare. Even then, I still couldn't stop crying. I wondered to myself after having another one this morning, why I was having them all of a sudden.

    Very odd and creepy!
