Once again we see history repeating itself....
Once again in Afghanistan we see history repeating itself.....as did it in Vietnam.....

It is not the loss of the country of which I speak...for I do not for one minute believe that is at all what is happening.

I believe that in Afghanistan...as did we in Vietnam....bring certain critical infrastructure into the 21st century technology ..and then when the time was right.....turn the whole country over to the Taliban or whoever can hold it.....and effectively put the whole nation into storage....

The Taliban are way too stupid...like the Communists to run things at a profit ...but they are perfect for putting the whole nation into storage and the raw materials/resources off the market but in effect ready to go on demand...

This is in effect what we did at deep state guidance in Vietnam....bring the critical needed infrastructure into 20th century technology ...and then when needed shut down the war and turn it over to the Communists. The Communists...like the Taliban and others are the perfect tool for shutting down the country and keeping the resources off the market. The country essentially in storage until the time is correct and you will see a shift in government and who is running things when it becomes time to get the resources back on the marketplace.

Afghanistan is a Deep Source project ....reaching it;s intended goals.

Do you think we did not also do this in Iraq...bring critical infrastructure into 21st century technology and requirements....at taxpayer expense.??

Remember how these Deep State people work....."You gotta break a few eggshells to make an Omelet."

Think it through and watch history unfolding or in essence repeating itself right in front of you.

The war or conflict was the ruse under which the nations critical infrastructure was developed before shutting it down and putting the nation into economic storage. The resources off the marketplace..

    At taxpayers expense of course.

Now that some of you know the pattern...go back and take a closer look at WW1 and WW2 and think it through....much closer.

Yes...this will be necessary for your survival.....because this is going to happen again and again and again...with your children and grand children..

FDR...."If it happens we planned it that way!!"

We NEED to stop fighting for the freedom of people that won't do it themselves. It is a useless waste of lives and money. Freedom is NOT free and if someone will not pay the price in blood then they don't deserve to be free.

All of my life we have been at war for people that would not fight for themselves. Other than a lot of widows, injured and traumatized young men and sad parents what did any of it get us? We need to take a note from China and the Russians. Support them with offers of arms and training but if they won't fight then they need to be conquered and ruled by a stronger nation. No more Koreas, Vietnams or just endless "police actions".

We have not been fighting for the freedom of people in these countries. That is the selling point of the Deep State against gullible Americans.

We have been fighting to set up an economic deep State empire....either to extract the resources or develop them and the infrastructure to extract said resources and then put the whole nation into storage under a dictatorial government....who will work for the Deep State to keep competitors out.

Patriotic Americas will always fall for that freedom line and spend billions and billions...if not trillions and our finest blood only to have it go tits up on them in the end. Americans never seem to learn.

Our enemies are in Washington DC...puppets run by the Deep State people. Also on our colleges and universities to sell this stuff to our children...

Agree Texdanm....all my life too we have been fighting under the same by lines...freedom ...and again and again it goes tits up on us...it cannot be a accident.

Only Americans can be so incredibly stupid to do this over and over and over and survive...yet never catch on.

    https://www.breitbart.com/asia/2021/08/17/taliban-killing-people-bibles-phones/

"The Taliban are killing people in Afghanistan they find with copies of the Bible on their mobile phones, a Christian non-profit denounced on Tuesday.

"According to SAT-7, an organization that broadcasts Christian programs to churches and Christians in the Middle East and North Africa, the Taliban is using 'spies and informants' to persecute the Christian minority in the country.

“'We’re hearing from reliable sources that the Taliban demand people’s phones, and if they find a downloaded Bible on your device, they will kill you immediately,' said SAT-7 North America President Dr. Rex Rogers told Religion News Service. 'It’s incredibly dangerous right now for Afghans to have anything Christian on their phones. The Taliban have spies and informants everywhere.'

"Other Christian nonprofits and ministries that specialize in assisting persecuted Christians around the world have been sounding the alarm as well, emphasizing the ruthless nature of Taliban leadership. A Christian contact of one Release International partner described the situation as 'dire' in a report published Monday. Release International is a Christian ministry that also assists persecuted Christians around the world. "

I agree with chris, it is up to the people of a country to over throw their ruling order if they do not want that ruling order.
how many times must we see this over and over again.

Our reason for going into Afghanistan was to take-out terrorist training bases that were prepping terrorists for attacks in the USA and Europe. The mission then became one of preventing new terrorist training facilities plus building-up education to create a more modern atmosphere where terror wouldn't raise its head in the first place.

The failure was in not generating a modern army in-situ. Because of this, when we spoke of leaving, the knuckle-dragging mega-aggressors oozed back in.

Me, I liked that we killed aggressive people. I like hurting bullies -- have ever since childhood. I like seeing pushy people get sent to the hospital or morgue. I enjoy watching felons getting shot. You know the videos where stupid people get hurt while trying to pull stunts, I like watching those. When I was a kid, I liked shooting invasive birds like starlings and English sparrows -- they push aside our beautifully colored birds and song birds. Killing rats, now there's a good thing.

If the terrorist camps start back in Afghanistan, I hope we use fuel-air bombs on them. If they try to hide in caves, I hope we hit them with deep-digging bunker-busters. Now that our air bases are lost, we may not be able to accomplish anti-terrorist attacks. We may only have precision-guided cruise missiles to use against the disease of terrorism. I'm pretty sure that cruise missiles can deploy fuel-air bombs. They sure can deploy cluster bombs.

One exceeding tragedy is when terrorists hide among human refugees. At our southern border, we here in America are letting-in untold hundreds of terrorists hidden among Hispanic refugees. Recently, three known terrorists were apprehended.

The fall of a once great nation. This is what you get when you allow lazy idiots and criminals to vote and run your country. I'm glad that some of our past allies are distancing themselves from the US. Maybe they will survive the fall of the West and the take over from the East. I'm a lot more concerned about russia than China. China is sort of dependent on the West to but its products and keep their factories running and their people working. Nearly every thing that you look at in the US has "Made in China" on it.

In another act of war against their enemies, the socialist deep state is moving covid-infected illegal aliens to parts of the USA where the people voted for Trump.

Of course, biden is not personally involved in these matters due to his being mentally disabled. However, the invisible / off-camera Leftist power-brokers and their traitors in the Pentagon and FBI are effecting a scorched-earth attack against the Constitution and the states who would follow the Constitution. The sabotage of the U.S. dollar is another component to breaking the knees of this once-great nation. The MSM fifth column is keeping the propaganda going for the sheeple who vote for their own destruction.

All the more reason for preppers to be in condition orange and ready to go condition red at a moment's notice.

Just came in from my garage and reloaded 50 rounds of .45ACP with 230 grain hard balls... some 25 to 30 of them were the ammo I shot up in the last trip to the gun club with my Kimber...the rest came from that bag of some 300 .45 ACP brass cases I recently picked up at the gun club.

Was glad to get these reloaded. I like a .45 ACP close up....any closer and I prefer a 12 or 20 gauge.

Been carrying my .45 ACP of late instead of my GP 100.

Need to take a day and get my Ruger precision rifle sighted in ...and so too my Mossberg Patrol rifle ..both in .308 Winchester.

Such fine firearms! Your choice of tools is impeccable.
I would that we lived in a world where firearms were only for sport and to put food on the supper table. It sickens my soul that this world is inhabited with animal things posing as humans who know not their Creator and who willfully live in opposition to the Supreme Will. I just hate that aspect of this world. That we are only here for a short while is troubling; yet, I can live with that, I understand that. But having to live among knuckle-dragging sub-humans is a bit much. I really, really hate this aspect, this dark reality. I will not turn the other cheek to them. I will end them; given half a chance, I will end them. They are dirty and are an offense to their Creator.

    Olde Geezer....

In reloading these .45ACP cartridges...I have, over the years, noted one aspect of interest to me and I am not for sure of the rationale behind this difference in design of the cases.

And that is that most .45 ACP cartridges use large pistol primers.

However...in this batch of .45ACP cases picked up at the gun club...I noted some with small pistol primers.
For now I have separated all that I run across.

Not quite sure of the rationale behind this but I am certain that over time I will solve this mystery.

Enjoy my time at the reloading bench...a cold drink or cup of coffee...some music...sometimes a snack and I am good for hours. The rest of the world can keep getting up....and go on by. No thanks...I'm going this way!!

And quite correct in your choice of the word..."Tools."

Like any other tool in my inventory....how well does one know how to use and or make them work to complete ones task/tasks.

There are times when the proper tool can verily supplement a task. Years of working in this shipyard have imbedded that awareness in my mind..

I am not one normally given to conflict or chaos....dispute...

But there are clearly and historically times when one does not back down....blink if you like..,..or it can become much much worse.

There are times when one needs to stand...for one's person...one's name...if you prefer...

For clearly there is much two legged wildlife..out there...and waxing worse and worse.

Such as that I try to avoid...

Good sense...disciplined with Godly decency ....education..respect ..is what separates us from becoming wildlife...

I pray that I never become two legged wildlife...

And I greatly dislike two legged wildlife and can appreciate the motives of the four legged varieties more than the two legged.

I picked up that Ruger precision rifle over a year ago and have not taken it to get sighted in...though I have mounted glass upon it.

Same with that Mossberg Patrol rifle....

Need to get off my donkey and get this task done..and have them cleaned and on the ready line.

I verily like and appreciate fine precision tools....though I also believe in keeping it simple as much as possible.

you guys are gun obsessed, a firearm is a tool same as a knife, nothing more.
I live in a country that has low gun ownership and I've never had to kill an intruder in any one of my 73 years of life.
there was a case a couple of years ago of a burglar being shot by the resident with a pistol crossbow but that was then and nothing since.

    lonewolf....

    I state this respectfully .....

Don't ever worry about me with a gun...or gunpowder...

Worry about me handling Uranium 235 and installing it into nuclear reactors..

I do not worship the gods of sports...as do many males out here....no use for it.

I am certainly not against sports...certainly not....just not interested in most of what is textbook male out here..including cars/automobiles.

Don't get me wrong here...I appreciate a fine piece of machinery and also understand the difference in design philosophy in European and American Automobiles....I just do not measure or define my life by the type of vehicle I operate as do so many of both males and females out here.

I have people out here, males at work, who come up to me and start talking sports...as if I am one of them hooked on the sports drug...

Afraid not. I do not try to insult them.....but just not particularly interested in the world or genre of sports.

I think the same about this idiot government we have or whatever is trying to pass for government and or enlightenment out here..

They are worried about me and a gun....gunpowder...????

    Really !!!!???

You gotta be highly educated to become so stupid as a government!!!

Pressurized water reactor...type A4W...Aircraft Carrier ..fourth generation Westinghouse

Also pressurized water reactor... S9G....submarine ninth generation...General Electric....

Also worked S6G types..Submarine sixth generation....General Electric.....Los Angeles Class fast attack boats.

I have also worked on Boomers....those ICBM carrying boats. I know how those systems work as well.

Are you still worried about me with a gun and gunpowder????

    You see!!???

This world is not quite what most of us think it is....in many many things....

I try not to live a television and or movie life ...as do so many out here....again ...just not interested...

Which is probably why I tend to like reading history ....when I can find good history.

Oh...and I do agree with you......the are just tools....as is my car...truck and scooters..

And I try to keep them running and on line as well.

Same thing with my Ham radio gear.....Just replaced a faulty 13.8 volt 45 amp power supply and need to repair my long wire loop antenna. Need to get this back on line....for HF radio.....as this is my long range world wide antenna.

    Respectfully.....

    Chris,
There is nothing I can do about a nuclear bomb, be that one attached to a rocket or a dirty bomb in an abandoned car, the only thing I can do is try to live with the consequences.
the same with someone who runs amok with a gun, the best thing I can do is not be there (stay out of cities etc which is where most trouble starts).
the only people I have a DUTY to is me and mine, anyone else is on their own and its about time they realised it and did something about it.
I just hope that what happens in Afghanistan it stays in Afghanistan and we dont have to rely on Dementia Joe or Laughing Harris when the chips are down.

    Hey lonewolf...

    Just a suggestion.....here..

In my preps...I have two of these......

RADEX RD1503+ Outdoor Edition dosimeter, geiger Counter, high Accuracy Nuclear Radiation Detector: Amazon.com: Industrial & Scientific

Wow....they have gone up some 50 bucks in price since I purchased mine..
This gadget is about the size of a pack of cigarettes.

One of them is right here close to this computer desk.....the other in a locker at work....batteries not in them but close by.

But that is your choice...I merely and respectfully offer the knowledge and choice for your consideration..

This is in case one should be unlucky sufficient to survive such and event....as you described above...

I'm not so sure I want to survive a nuclear attack, radiation poisoning is a horrible way to go and in an all out nuclear war no one wins we all lose, and who wants to live on a dead planet.

    This is a prepper site....

We try to be survivors.....in any scenario....though the cards we have may be a very very difficult hand....

We are not suicidal.......though we do have our fears and worries...concerns...and in particular for our families...our kin.

And this makes us human. And we are not Islands per se...though we may often think of ourselves in such an manner.

And I do understand your implication in your moniker...Lonewolf....

In many many ways ..I operate in the same or similar manner. It is a difficult thinking pattern to break when one has been doing if for so long...

We tend to not like and or steer clear of unnecessary or undesired complications...

I am NOT suicidal! I just think a nuclear war is one we cannot win whatever side we are on and on a small island like Britain I dont think nuclear survival is possible, it wouldnt take many rockets to bracket the entire country.
I have studied "War Plan UK" which is based on a nuclear attack on Britain and the expected casualties were huge, this was back when we had "Civil Defense" this was abandoned in the 1980s, these days there is none and very few bunkers-at least public ones anyway.

I am not far from Washington DC...and the big Norfolk Navy Base is right across the bay from me.

    I am ground Zero...in a nuclear war.

I am not certain as to why or what.....but I am suspecting that nuclear weapons are become obsolete...

I am thinking that someone out here is sitting on this secret and does not want most of us to know....why this is.

thats one of the reasons we left Somerset 12 years ago, when they decided to build a nuclear reactor at Hinckley point, this would be an obvious target in a nuclear strike.

The biden "administration" is now looking at cutting-off weapons shipments to our allies. Here is one backdoor mechanism they will be using:

    https://www.heritage.org/global-pol...nventional-arms-transfer-policy-should-not-be

"The Biden Administration is reviewing its Conventional Arms Transfer Policy (CATP), which governs conventional weapons export. A State Department official has indicated this review would determine 'the proper relationship of the United States to the Arms Trade Treaty. ...'”

I had not heard that one Olde Geezer....

Now this will be interesting ...very interesting considering the billions and billions made in the Arms trade...above or below the table...

Too many careers are and have been ...and continue to be built on the arms trade...

This means political clout as well.

I am well aware of the amount of warehousing in and around Richmond, Virginia...

Also spent time in an around the ammo dump....at Fort Picket...the artillery range...too.

    155MM Towed artillery....

Don't let anyone kid you ....An M60 machine gun looks cool/great in the movies ...but when you have to carry it around with bandoliers of ammo....you get disgusted with it in about 30 minutes...
    It looses it's coolness/greatness quickly.

I am suspecting that the Biden Administration will have more success disarming the American Public ...under the guise of another Emergency....than will they the arms merchants.

Hmmmmm....does this mean they will stop the sale of Nuclear Submarines and or such nuclear technology to Australia....???

Enquiring minds and that sort of thing!!!???

The Social Democrats are going to have some PROFOUND difficulty disarming civilians.

Threatening more gun control just got a Republican elected in the Commonwealth of Virginia. We're talking the previously Commie Commonwealth.

In California, there is less than a 15% compliance rate with the semi-auto rifle ban. If they attempt to enforce it, then those owning the rifles may just use those rifles. And too, the owners are Police and off-duty Military. I'd not attempt to take those people's firearms!

In Virginia, all sheriffs refused to enforce the gun confiscation laws. Only a handful of sheriffs were willing to comply and all of them (four or five counties out of 100 or so) were urban areas.

Pro-2nd Amendment protest photos from Virginia; thousands upon thousands gathered:

    https://duckduckgo.com/?q=virginia+gun+control+protesters&atb=v140-1&iax=images&ia=images

    ------------------------------------------------------

"Virginia Democrat Admits He Retaliated Against Sheriffs Over Their Support for the Second Amendment"

    https://nationalfile.com/virginia-d...-over-their-support-for-the-second-amendment/

"Northern Virginia Democrat and Senate Majority Leader, Dick Saslaw, has been at the center of a week-long media controversy that began when Republican Senator, Bill Stanley, published remarks he said Saslaw made to him after voting down a pay raise for Virginia’s Sheriff’s Departments.

"According to a post Stanley made to his Facebook account back on February 20th, as the Senate voted to fund Virginia’s most expensive budget ever, Saslaw spearheaded a unanimous effort by Democrats to vote down an amendment funding a 3% pay raise for employees of Virginia’s Sheriff’s Departments.

"Following the vote, Stanley says Saslaw approached him saying, 'Hey Stanley, you want to know why your Sheriffs didn’t get a raise? — because they came to our committees and said that they weren’t going to enforce our laws.' When Stanley asked Saslaw what he was referring to, he replied, 'gun control.'

“'He didn’t lie…I said it,' says Saslaw. 'All I said was a lot of people are upset that these people come in and say they’re not going to enforce our laws. That’s all.'

"'Saslaw isn’t the first Virginia Democrat to retaliate – or threaten to retaliate – against law enforcement officers who refuse to violate their oaths. As the 2nd Amendment Sanctuary movement heated up across Virginia, Democrat Representative Donald McEachin floated the idea of Governor Northam calling up the National Guard to combat resistance to gun control and confiscation legislation.

"'McEachin’s co-worker, Representative Gerry Connolly, wasn’t far behind, threatening to throw officers in jail should they not comply with his party’s gun control agenda.'"

    =============================

Banning and confiscating firearms will be the equivalent of the first shots fired at Fort Sumter -- Civil War II, 100% certainty.

As for Virginia, it's not quite as communist as Kalifornia, but it was getting there. The people who own guns are the people who work the factories, run the tractors in America's Bread-Basket, serve in the military's combat units, fight fires, dig the coal and pump the oil. If the commies cross them, there will be hell to pay.

Me, I think the U.S. economy will fail -- and NOT in the distant future, it's gonna go real soon now.
