One thing that I would strongly recommend whether you're a new or experienced prepper is to use the items that you prep with. I try to make a meal out of my dehydrated food at least once a month. I try to start a fire with what I carry in my bag. You need to know your gear and be comfortable with it so you're not trying to learn how to use it when the time comes.

Good guide! I believe these tips have been proven and tested by many survivalists. But this guide is somewhat one-sided. I mean, this is only good if you are prepared to go outdoor, like it is your intention to go and survive because you are bringing a lot of necessities. It would be good to learn on how to survive if you have only a few things like clothes and water.
