    Pet therapy is pretty much established as working for large segments of those with psychological ailments.

    Bona fide service animals - in US only dogs and miniature horses - are allowed with patient in just about any place. An obvious exception would be a hospital for certain appointments.

    I talk to my wildlife. Once saw a copperhead snake when enroute to to well house. I said: "Snake, get the hell out of here or I call Moses and Riti Tiki Tavi the mongoose".

    Before 1960s no mention of:

    Rin Tin Tin ?
    tropical fish in a fish tank ?
    ants in a container to watch 'em do excavation of tunnels ? Cover the container when leaving.
    Didn't Robert E. Lee have a name for his horse (Traveler) ?
    Didn't the Prophet Mohammed have names for his 4 horses ?

    I believe in pet therapy and would never ride in the desert on a horse with no name.
