Above links provides 10 pictures of snakes.

The article's theme is producing snake antivenom.

Note the distinction between snake antivenom and tetanus antitoxin.

Note picture 1's caption "bit on the forehead ...".

In picture 1's narrative, note: "...exorbitant prices ... in the US ... ". About 15 years ago, in this rural county, a copperhead bite cost ~ $14K for the antivenom and ~ $2K for the hospital/ attending physican .

Did not see a legend/key on the article's map. No snake problems in Laos ?

 

The map is an example of western ignorance of geography (very typical). Correlating nature data based upon human political boundary rather than natural boundary such as geography, as if any critters or mother nature will even adhere to such human made boundary.

It's even worse.

Unfortunately it's just about everything in our new US society that is infected with trash like above mentioned map.

Soon enough, very soon , the day will come for reform or collapse.
