    Good morning all,

    Per ...

I believe this article also applicable to rest of world.

Para 2 tells of the use of technology instead of a human presence for eg industrial equipment testing, a doctor's telemedicine diagnosis,.. Article tells of South Korea's development of a IT platform that uses bank data to find and isolate covid-19 cases.

On one of the hyperlinks is a comparison sketch map with label "Singapore" between Cape May, New Jersey and Lewis, Delaware. The end is near and there's no time to repent.

Only applicable to country with small population and strong gov't control over its population (there is only few of them)

    Good morning Varuna,

Within the focus of - - - post pandemic Asia - - - , could not IT-controlled building access, telemedicine, distance learning, and IT financial transactions, be considered with large countries ?

Will small Asian countries exist ?

Is the above scene not starting to become visible in North America ?

With the exception of telemedicine (the technology still not advance enough), while remote building access will always require human supervision (suicidal computer is a real thing you know, just ask Boeing)

I believe country such as Japan will continue to exist at least within this century but unlikely to survive into the next century, while Korea will depend in who will succeed Kimmy The Fat. While city state such as Singapore will most likely still exist albeit with very little relevancy. While the rest stand as they currently does as China satellite states

    Good morning Varuna,

Other than specifics on a calibrated time line, our posts are close in substance.

Many of the current "states" (Laos and Tajikistan already only geographical expressions) will become Chinese satellites.

Japan will fade from its powerhouse status (Their birthrate is nearly as low as S. Korea's), lose Okinawa and their present portion of the Kurile Island archipelago. I can't guess where their FOREX will be transferred to unless a sharing arrangement is in preparation.

The large countries are already introducing IT to replace labor and building assemblies, like university campuses and hospitals. Yes, human supervision for IT building entry required and will be present. Yet, this is less for IT-function and monitoring and more so to arrest and detain those unlawfully probing the IT entry system. It's not only for office building but also for eg Walmart and major chain gasoline/convenience store access. Keep the smart phone updated.

Even telemedicine requires human oversight and not to ensure the physician is correctly providing quality medical care. When the patient asks for eg tropical medicine immunizations for a vacation/holiday trip, the human oversight aspects will get involved in the planned trip. The credit cards are in the smart phone ?

Mobile Banking and Mobile Payment is already day-today aspect of life outside Anglosphere countries. More so with the soon will be adoption of 5G connectivity. In which case I personally embrace Huawei on the matter (they work as advertised)

    Good morning Varuna,

A few small segments of US-Anglosphere life use mobile banking and payments. The significance to this is that the US is one large economic configuration.

Does the non-Anglosphere countries have accessible 5G connectivity for Yen-denominated credit cards/ transactions for those outside the control of a national central bank ? Are there national population segments outside the purview of national central banks ?So far, Huaweia is the future for the East.

IT is excellent for large-scale data/info processing and for speed.

The other aspect of IT is "merely" state-of-the-art versions of the late 19th century aspects of institutional arrangements such as banking control, governmental administrative aspects, travel and cargo arrangements, ...
