Having their sales go up, up, up with inventories depleted isn't caused by preppers. We've already planned and prepared - and save $$$ by properly doing all this.

I loved reading this article's lead sentence: ... people who until now "hadn't thought of emergency preparations".

Please do not punish slow learners.

Article mentions the famous store "My Patriot Supply".

Article also mentions Jason Charles, founder and leader of NYC Preppers.

 

A fool and his money are soon parted. These people are paying outrageous prices because they are panic buying. They could go to a grocery store, and get twice as much for half the price.

I shouldn't be overly critical. At least they have started. Lord knows how many still have their head in the sand.

 

What with this gas-line hack attack, people are out forming lines at gas stations.

So, it's back to driving the 4-cyl cars.

I think maybe the hackers were not some foreign hackers, but maybe FBI / NSA / deep-state operatives. Amerikans are getting conditioned to pay more for fuel now that the socialist gods are in power.

During the Carter administration, there was an "oil embargo" from the Middle East. THEN, on some show like "Face the Nation" a Saud prince was being interviewed and he was asked about the "oil embargo". His response, "What oil embargo?!"

Jimmy Carter inflation went above 17%. I did well on some mortgage backed bonds I was holding during that time. With this Harris/biden administration, we are going to see inflation that will sink everyone economically. Soros, Mr. Hedge fund, thinks he can sink America and make out like a bandit with his foreign holdings. Problem is, all economies are going to get kicked in the throat. I hope Soros burns in this world, we know that he is going to burn in the next.

Depending on stocked food is what I consider in my preps " as phase two " . Phase three is growing and harvesting food for an infinite amount of time . Unfortunately most people making an effort to survive never thinking past phase two . Even most of those that do consider phase three are doomed for failure because of not having the skill set or resources to reap an never ending food resource . --- An example , about a year ago I know a guy that figured things were getting bad enough for him to open up one of those touted seed vaults in a can , containing a variety of survival seeds . He planted them , they came up but harvested next to nothing due to gardening ignorance .
