Primary Surgery Vols 1 And 2

    A two volume set written by surgeons for doctors that aren't, but that might need to perform surgery anyway. A couple quotes from the preface:

    Volume 1, Non-trauma:

    Prepare for your medical vocabulary to get a workout, but it's not so filled with medical-ese that it's completely undecipherable either. I'd still recommend however:

    A wealth of information beyond just a "how to" for some surgical procedures too, when a surgeon describes how to treat a wound it might pay to listen and try to understand. Or that's where I found the most worth in it anyway, in many ways it was a Dunning-Kruger effect eye opener for me - I didn't even know the limits of what I didn't know.
