If you can find rattan in the wilds, you are lucky because it can be made into a good cordage. And it is like a rope that can be used for tying anything. You can build a shelter using rattan to tie the poles in lieu of nails. It can also be used as leash in case you have captured your prey (deer maybe). Overall, rattan has many uses especially if you are in the woods. All you need is to make the rattan into strips and dry it before using. Rattan is very durable that it can last for years.
