Why would he bother to carry pineapples to a remote location if he's allergic to it?

He bought the site from a Vietnam Veteran. I expect that many things were left behind as part of the purchase including some food that the vet didn't eat and it is hardly worth flying it out.

This goes along with the one is none, two is some and three might be enough philosophy of survival. Never have all of your survival stuff in ONLY one place. My gear is in three buildings, two vehicles and one boat... Even in my house, the gear is scattered and not in one room or even one end of the house.

What was the strange looking semi circular construction? I wonder why he couldn't use the big shed on the right?
