Repair Tricks

Here are some ways to use Super-Glue that do not get discussed. Combining super-glue with a substrate material or powder allows the repair / reconstruction of difficult to repair items.

Post SHTF, we are all going to have to be Mr. Fix-it. Here is a thread to post ways to fix things that may be difficult to repair. Born without means / poverty creates jerry-riggers.

Caution: baking soda combined with super-glue gives off toxic fumes, so move away to breathe fresh air while doing the following. Would be good to have ventilation fan to remove fumes from repair room.

 

For the repairs (jerry-rigs often times) I've made for years now, I almost always use an accelerant with super-glues (cyanoacrylate type). Watch out -- don't breathe this stuff!
