Respirator Types; Cataloging Them

    Good morning all,

    I'm going to try to make this thread into a reference for the "dust masks", the medical-related stuff and the industrial varieties.

    Above link's narrative tells of one of the basics:

    N = Not resistant to oil

    R = Somewhat resistant to oil

    P = Strongly resistant to oil

    ......

    Like all else, the basics must be understood and then one's realistic situation(s) can be matched to one's desire to maintain health. "Overkill" is an applicable word that also involves unnecessary costs.

    ......

    Meanwhile, before ordering the SCBA, buckle the seat belt before driving. Perspective is needed.
