    "short term preparations";

    Good morning all,

    We just finished the "Severe Weather Awareness Week". As per this section's short term preparations in re climate change, much is about new areas of population locations and less about Algore's melting icebergs.

    With the pandemic / confinements dominating the news, much of the US population will get a reminder about hurricanes. Above article poses the questions needed for weather emergencies.

    A NOAA weather radio is not needed. Other radios exceed requirements for being weather-informed. Prudent budgeting is as important as the extra wall tent in case Cuban landing craft approach our coasts.

    During hurricanes, I use the European's Carvill scale. It's better than NWS'.

    Tornadoes: Be a Deist or a fatalist.

    Prep, prep, prep
    and
    factor in safety
