    Good afternoon all newcomers to prepping.

    Above is a decent intro essay on some Great Depression survival matters.

    Worth glancing at BEFORE throwing away those 2 liter plastic soda bottles.

    A few of us here are immediate descendants of this Great Depression. My main modification is to try - try - to keep the kitchen sink cabinet below empty.

    Foot Note: Haven't seen a Peter Pan peanut butter glass jar in ages.

    Foot Note: Popsicle sticks have value. Save.

    Foot Note: The inside wrapping paper in a pack of cigarettes is part aluminum foil. Save.

    Foot Note: Some fruit pits, believe apricot, are for gas mask filters. Had to save well into the new era of gas mask filters.

    My parents lived through the Great Depression, and they raised me with the same mindset that the article speaks to.
