Quoted terms allows me to say much of the US portion of the pandemic is being used to restructure the US economy and society. There are many positive attributes to doing this.

A real "scarcity of medical workers" would show at least 2 B747-400 pax aircraft arriving per day to the US with ~ 450 medical personnel per acft from the Philippines until the Republic of Philippines ran dry of medical workers.
