None of the 'Elite" are missing any meals or risking their lives to feed their families. Socialism at it best.

This is why knowing survival fishing, hunting and trapping methods before a SHTF event, really pays off. There is plenty of bamboo to build boats out of in Venezuelan country side as well as other scrap materials they can use.

survival fishing is completely different to ordinary angling where a rod and line is too time consuming.

    Good morning Varuna,

I believe shark fins requires a market economy - even if the species of shark is listed as an endangered species. Venezuela only has "black markets" and returning to shore could mean getting in trouble with the waiting police.

The article mentioned rubber tubes. I was thinking of the old inner tube used inside car and truck tires in "olden times". Some of the Forum Members remember this. Just keep the tube's air valve away from one's back when in the water.

A wooden boat is much better than a rubber boat, tube or air mattress.
