    Good morning all,

    Per ...

Virginia's liquor authority (VABC = Virginia Alcoholic Beverage Control), the liquor stores has a supply of N95 face masks for their employees.

The reason, VABC - not a "pure" health care type of organization, like a hospital - has the masks is because in 2010, this state agency prepared for the 2010 (Repeat: PREPARED; 2010) H1N1 outbreak.

If VABC could budget and acquire N95s, so could other state agencies - or at least place themselves on record that they do not know what they were doing.

The last paragraph's "unregulated markets" - LOL !

    .......

All this pandemic and quarantine stuff - - - - - Yes, it is a national emergency requiring the responses - - - - is less about a public health emergency and much more about a welfare state response not providing the best and fastest corrective action.

    A toast to VABC !
