Hello, if my Nom De Guerre is too long feel free to call me SOL. It fits in more ways than one. Except for when I was married, I have never lived anywhere for longer than 2 years. I love traveling. I support myself by repairing RVs, golf carts, and other vehicles for fellow travelers. Now I am stuck in Orlando for the next 16 months as a single father of 2 teenagers. When they leave for college, I am leaving Central Florida and finding my own dirt to settle on. I have numerous mechanical and electrical skills, but I am fairly new to guns. I am taking classes to strengthen my lack in that area. I have also taken the CNA course and learned way less than I thought I would have. So, I signed up for the EMT basic course at Valencia. If I can, I would not mind getting to paramedic level. I plan to put these 16 months to good use while I am stuck here.
I'm especially glad to see you migrated to here... I know that you will like this well-run forum as much as I do. Good thinking to make lemonade out of the lemons that were handed to you. The field of emergency medicine will serve you well. .
Howdy from Texas. When you relocate you might like it here. Guns are a part of life, you can carry any knife that you like and you have every right to defend your life and property from theft or damage. Oh, and we have no state income tax.
Thanks. I am only here for another ~16 months or so. When my kids go to college, I plan to move unless the solar grand minimum proves to be a real thing in that time frame.
The fact that Texas is totally gun and knife friendly AND gives you the right to use them in defense of your life and property has to be a big plus for anyone leaning towards a survival mind set.
