There were threat problems.

What Stillwater experienced is a national concern. Rest assured focus groups / polls / etc are being conducted and studied in D.C.

My personal, private citizen philosophical view is support of safety measures, eg the mask example.

In practical terms, the wearing of face masks has little value - perhaps even worse - if not used properly, changed frequently, used ones placed in bags for returning home, wearer washes hands every time mask changed. Adults with small kids in stores, restaurants ........ If it's the thought that counts; masks are good. If it's for a public health measure ....... who's kidding whom ?
