I like your chose of guns. The duel combination of shotgun/long rifle ammo makes for good hunting combinations. Does Springfield still make there survival rifle?

air rifles are the most common for british preppers.
cuts out the need for licences and police inspections.

Thanks for the review. I should have bought the Springfield when they were still making it, I liked the trigger on the Springfield because I do wear mittens at times in the winter.

You can still find scouts like say on gun broker and even sometimes on armslist. Plus they did make a scout with a 22 mag! I may have to get one of them for the collection. But 22lr is more common and easier on the wallet!

I have many to choose from but I favour my Stirling M14 in .22LR and my CBC651 12g single shot
Both cheapies but simple accurate and reliable

All my guns are setup as stand alone units! each gun has a satchel with shoulder and hip straps loaded with a full cleaning kit, spares and maint kit with a heap of ammo!
Each is ready to just grab and deploy. Most also have a backup bulk ammo satchel if needed! ( still a work in progress)
My bob's do not have weapons or ammo just basic life sustainment with knives etc on a wide leather belt!

Do you need a corrosion-resistant shotgun? Live by the sea? Need a shotgun for an ocean-going ship?

Remember that most shotgun manufactures have shotguns whose metal-works are stainless steel, nickel-plated, alloyed aluminum, ... so that they will not go to rust when exposed to a salty atmosphere..
