    Some people find themselves in unforeseen weather circumstances characterised by extreme cold. There are times when floods leave entire neighbourhoods flooded and people are forced to perch on trees or rooftops awaiting rescue. In other cases, preppers get lost in the forest and are drenched by heavy precipitation as well as biting cold. What survival mechanisms can see one through such contingencies?
