Switzerland Gun Control

I have read that the Swiss are enacting gun control in order to take firearms away from their people. Can't remember or have been able to find it.

That would surprise me. The Swiss population is there standing military and everyone keeps their service rifle/weapons at home. Wonder how that will work?

The Swiss always had strong rules on firearms.

After active duty military service, the veteran - still a reservist - could take home the issued rifle or pistol with a required registration. It was still unlawful to carry the weapon in public (the usual exceptions). Otherwise, a concealed carry permit was required. I believe this is the area being made "stricter".
