    Funerals are a MAJOR ripoff! My wife's uncle passed away and was buried last Friday. The funeral home made them come up with $1250.00 Cash for digging the grave, before they would do anything, even though he had life insurance to pay for everything. The final cost for a simple funeral, $8300.00. He already owned his burial plot. That's over $8000 for the 3 hour use of a room, simple casket, concrete vault (mandatory by law) and a Hearst ride.

    That's why me and the misses are being cremated.
