I have always had a sewing kit, most of my adult life, some spools of thread, a set of needles, some pins and an assortment of buttons, in a tin.

I learnt to sew & knit as a kid. Cymru/Welsh children were taught to knit in school, boys & girls. My Mother was Welsh. I went to school in West Sussex, so my Mother taught me to sew & knit at home.
