I don't know about all y'all... but to me, humor is as essential to life because laughter is a lot like changing a baby's diaper. It doesn't permanently solve anything, but it sure makes things more acceptable for a while!

Had a buddy years ago while in the Philippines on patrol, decided that enough was enough and crawled out from under his poncho hooch in a down pouring monsoon rain and started dancing and singing, "singing in the rain". My favorite thing is when someone is rude to me and then freaks out when I toss it back at them. I guess that they assume that they are special and not subject to correction. ROTFLMFAO I'm an a$$hole and have no problems with being told that I am full of poop nor do I have a problem pointing it out to someone else. I'm wrong a LOT. I have to be careful. Sometimes I will read something on a thread and start to argue only to realize that I am the a$$hole that posted it first! On any given day I might not even agree with myself from morning to evening. It helps a lot that I have hide like a Rhino and think that sarcasm is the height of humor...

I like your pretty purple Name. Very nice. I have to admit that my humor gets a little rough sometimes and isn't for everyone...But then I'm an a&& and don't mind all that much. I am very polite around strangers in general. I open doors for people especially ladies and usually say Ma'am and sir but among friends and family, I am known for occasionally cutting someone off at the ankles...but I do it sweetly!!!!

PS: I was a big George Carlin fan.

Sam Kinison will always be my favorite. I was at one of his shows and towards the tail end he picked me out of the audience and called up my ex on the phone while still on stage and totally went off on her. It was funny as hell!

 

Of course, you know how to cut someone's legs off sweetly because you are from the South where we say "Bless Your Heart" which in Southern English, means something like, "go to hell, m'dear."

I got to the end of the thread. I am trying to stop arguing and try to get along with all I can.
It makes it easier to be on a forum if we get along,imo. No bad vibes.

Sooner or later, every forum is visited by a troll or two and this thread has been a fun antidote.

But fortunately for us, this is a mostly troll-free zone, thanks to our great membership and to our diligent Mods.
