Bizarrely one YouTube channel was claiming, last night, that the police search had found two bodies, neither of which was Ezedi. More questions than answers there.

I am a bit concerned about this theory that he jumped into the river. Mindful that recently we had two "jumping into the river deaths" one of which, certainly, has still not been reasonable explained and there are many doubts remaining about the other. It is starting to feel a little like the Keystone Cops, err sorry, Met Police are going to use "fell into the river Guv" as a standard excuse for failure.

 

Though it has been many years back..I seem to reacall a British Preacher saying basically the same thing....that Christianity was dying in the Uk..and to open the doors to his church so that non believers could exit more rapidly.

I think this ministers name was Ian Paisley....though it has been many many years since I heard those statements attributed to him.

“Our research found that almost half of parents have been plunged into debt or had to use savings just to pay their childcare bill,” she added.

Phoebe Arslanagić-Little, head of the new deal for parents at the conservative thinktank Onward, said: “We are essentially pricing people out of parenthood, with a panoply of material issues: the housing crisis, childcare costs, the poor availability of IVF on the NHS.”

The ONS data also showed that women are tending to have children later: the fertility rate was highest among women aged 30-34, whereas before 2002 it was higher in the 25-29 age group.

Fertility rates have also been falling across much of Europe in recent years, with women having fewer children, and having them later in life.

I've been reminiscing the past few days with music I used to listen to in my youth. It's amazing to see some of them who just keep on keeping on. It's awesome! Rod Stewart for example (what a top bloke, too) is 79, Mick Jagger is 79 (on stage he's still in his 20s), etc.

I used to love Jethro Tull. Ahhhh what memories! Ian Anderson is such a talented man and such a wonderful showman. He's 76 I think from memory. He now looks like my late husband's mother's husband, sitting in the front room watching TV! What a difference! To be fair though, he still performs brilliantly.

When my brother was at school, he sang in the choir. His school made a record with Jethro Tull. I asked him if he still had it, as I wanted to get it converted to a disc but he said he didn't. My mission at present is to try and find a copy.

Ah yes, I remember them now. I had just moved to the UK around then. I tell you, the UK brought out some phenomenal bands through the years.

 

I still love listening to Jethro Tull. Love watching Ian Anderson perform. Went to see them in concert.

Probably have some of their albums in storage. Used to buy each new platter as they came out.

People didn't like "Minstrel in the Gallery". I love it. Have the MP3 on a thumb drive in my car. My car's sound system has the ability to take thumb drives. I love the album "Thick as a Brick". I know I have that stored back. My other favorite albums: Aqualung, Songs from the Wood, and War Child.

Saw them in concert. Rowdy crowd. Some idiot threw a liquor bottle up onto the stage and the bottle broke spreading glass everywhere. There'd been young girl dancers performing which made that all the more dangerous/infuriating. The performance had to stop while someone swept the stage with a super wide push-broom. Ian comes out on stage, takes a mic, and challenges whatever oaf who'd thrown the bottle to go out back with him and fight. Mr. Anderson was WAY past infuriated -- "seething angry" doesn't describe him either. He meant to fight the guy. No bluff. He wanted to beat the sh## out of that drunk. Ian is one big fellow. I'd not want to fight him.

Oh wow. What an amazing story. I've never seen them live, though would like to. My favourite album was Living in the Past. I've played it over and over the past few days. I also love Thick as a Brick and Songs from the Wood. Totally amazing. I've also been listening to Aqualung, which is also awesome. Ian is not only a brilliant showman on stage, he is also a very gifted musician. He plays that flute like nobody's business. It actually inspired me to learn the flute, rather than the guitar. He's amazing.

I can imagine he wouldn't have been impressed. His Scottish blood would have boiled. I don't think he's the type of man to cross.

I joined the Jethro Tull forum to try and get info on the record that was made in which my brother sang in the background. I'm so annoyed with him for not keeping it. I don't even know what album it was on. Gggggrrrrr.

The men who identify themselves as the opposite sex and have their bodies mutilated to appear to be the opposite sex cannot change the reality that their genetic code for sex is XY. All of the cells in the body (with rare exception; plus fully-formed red blood cells have no nucleus, thus no DNA) have the same genetic code. When a woman (genetic code XX) is pregnant, the child's DNA is the child's DNA, certainly not the exact code of the mother, only half. In pregnancy we're talking about a human living inside another human, the child could be of either sex.

Scientists and the religious beliefs (examples, Orthodox Judaism or Islam) of many people accept these biologic realities. Are they to be punished by law should they continue to hold their beliefs? Does government law supersede science and/or the religion of the people? Are such people to be imprisoned?!

We are what we are. Reality cannot be pretended away. Many people have mental disorders. For this, they should never be punished (beyond cruel, that). The populace should never be compelled to pretend that the beliefs of the mentally ill are in any way true. That would be an insane imposition ... forgive the pun.

I cannot get over how utterly useless and biased our lousy the Met Police have become.

 

Certainly some of those who are marching are part of the "what you got?" mentality and would protest about anything. To be fair, protesting in a group can be an exhilarating thing. But when it is calling for genocide etc I feel it needs a bit more background research (but then look how thick some of the Just Stop Oil protestors are to get a glimpse of the "protest mentality" demographic).

Anti-Semitism is rife in London and it worries me as it was Hamas that triggered the current situation with the 7th October attacks (that seem to be largely forgotten or ignored).

I am not sure if it is Sadiq Khan or Mark Rowley who will not act either. Certainly it seems that Sadiq Khan is in favour of a wholly Islamic London and, in my opinion, that needs to be stopped (hopefully he will lose the Mayoral elections of 6th May and be replaced by Susan Hall).

As for Sir Mark Rowley, he has repeatedly promised an end to this sort of silliness and yet it continues on a weekly basis and, if anything, is getting worse.

If you can do well in analytic geometry, calculus, and physics, then you can at least do a bit of advanced problem-solving. Under massive stress, that is yet another thing altogether.

Back before Al Gore got where he got, he gave a little election speech in Nowheresville, Southern Appalachia (it was a congressional House seat up for election). There were only 6 or 7 of us men there in the county courthouse listening to him. The others were at least 60 years old, me I was well under age 30. Me, I sat and listened / paid attention (way too young to open my mouth next to the far wiser men sitting to my right; smarts is one thing, wisdom is another). Gore had to perpetually consult his little bespectacled, pencil-necked, brainy fellow that stayed just behind him and to Gore's right (leaning up against support post in the courthouse). Lonewolf....that same thing happened here last month at the local grocery store.....the computers went down and many people with full shopping carts were waiting in line only to learn that their cards would not work..

In frustration so many people walked out and just left their carts right there.......

The only thing that worked was cash.

I was astonished....

I suspect that in the future ...many people are going to be stunned.....

My money is on this being a cyber attack. Tesco and Sainburys supermarkets in the UK and McDonalds too (what on earth will the poor little woke generation do without their McJunk food?). I am not a great believer in coincidences.

 

I agree. The panicking is bizarre, I'll wager that most of those who are panicking has a freezer full of food at home.

It is a warning that the internet and its use for almost every transaction is very weak indeed.
