Changing the logo doesn't do it.

Close the place down.

It's a public university. It can be "contracted out".

We do not need reminders of slavery especially when the reminders make profits for some.

 

Seriously? How much time and money was wasted coming up with this? First, if the change wasn't highlighted nobody would know the difference. Second, you could count on one hand, and have fingers left over the number of people who know/knew what the design of the handle meant. Third, this is like throwing a deck chair off of the Titanic. It is such a meaningless, token gesture nobody would have known if they didn't make a federal case of it.

No one knew of this.

Of course, the allocated time and money wasn't their's. The place is a bloated payroll of unemployables. This includes their medical school. It's all guaranteed suburbia living with cradle to grave funding.
