Good afternoon all,

Thank you POTUS. The US officially announced leaving the WHO.

I know it's mostly symbolic but a good first step.

 

Why not leaving UN altogether. I'm pretty sure there will be other country even from G20 that will follow suit IF US decide to do so.

 

No doubt the one world globalist / democrats / communist will try to fight this withdrawal from what they see as a step in the direction of " One World Domination " . However Trump has the upper hand and the wind at his back .

There are reasons for the US not leaving the UN entirely.

Besides the treaty obligations that requires Congressional involvement - - - and the guaranteed judicial inquiries - - -, the US is a divided nation. Since our founding in 1776, the nation has been divided. Lincoln and FDR did wonders in their coalition-building to have a basic political consensus to "get things done".

The UN is a "cash cow" for some US companies. When, for example, the UN is going to buy something, eg helicopters for UNIFIL, US companies get some of the business.
