Above tells of US preparations for supplies and other support - hospital ship, Amphib ship mentioned - for Bahamian recovery.

I'm posting this article because of a mentioned "outlier" or "extreme version..." with a prepper nned to remember.

Note the article's "extreme version of an otherwise standard crisis of hurricanes ... like the Haiti earthquake,... 200,000 dead ..."

The lost; the bodies must be "dealt" with by mortuary crews trained in this. Otherwise, the already stressed infrastructure and population will be supersaturated with problems difficult to recover from.

For a prepper evacuation route near corpses can mean deadly disease. It's also applicable to livestock and wildlife. Evacuation routes require updating route surveys such as radio reports.

Good afternoon all,

This article, although far from current, augments my above mention of disease from corpses. Article was the best and fastest I could find. My research skills resemble my sewing skill, my painting skills, .....not the best.

We in the US have mortuary trailers with skilled personnel for this.

Still, ... factor disease prevention into plans.

 

This will be someplace else that will be hating the US and badmouthing it in a few years. Evidently, based on past experiences, the old saying that no good deed goes unpunished goes double in international affairs.
