If there were another civil war it would be a totally different thing than the first one. The "divide" now is not north-south, east-west, or any other directional or location-based thing. this time it would be regular citizens versus the entitled rich politicians and their welfare supporters. They buy that loyalty while the rest of us provide the work and money that supports their lifestyle.

Our major cities inner areas are slowly becoming welfare slums as the working class moves out to find better and safer places to raise a family. People where I live will and do drive almost a hundred miles to avoid having to live in those places. I've done that more than once. Even the outer areas in some big city areas are beginning to become extended welfare centers. When they move in a few welfare families and the crime rate goes up the property value PLUMITS and soon the "flight" out of town begins.

The neighborhood that I was raised in went from a nice middle class family place to a crime ridden ghetto because the government moved in a few welfare families. Pretty soon anything that you left outside disappeared. A friend left his mower in the front yard to answer a call and when he came back out a few minutes later it was gone. His house was broke into twice. That was IT.

He came and lived with me for a couple of weeks while he found a job here and then rented a place. Then we moved his family. There was no way to sell his place. Who wants to live in a place with that sort of crime rate? Now that entire area is a welfare ghetto.

The Government seems determined to turn the entirety of our cities into just giant crime ridden ghettos. These areas were already a good mix of different people. They weren’t integrating anything. They were just destroying an area. The schools became unsafe for ANYONE and the teachers began to leave.

In the end there was NOTHING left there to attract either working class people OR businesses. If their intention was to make a place to store more future criminals and welfare people until they could grow up and go to prison then I guess we can say, “GOOD JOB!!!”

Things could really get going tomorrow. Thing is that the two Antifa / BLM-ers killed were both white; so, the riots may not be too extensive. Chicago is lighting-up, but so far nothing much. The chances of another civil war are between slim and none. The thing is that most of the liberals are not willing nor prepared to fight for their beliefs while the conservitives have proven again and again their willingness to die as free men rather than submit to liberal slavery.

We are actually like THREE nations. You have the extreemests on either end with a majority in the middle. Unfortunatly too many people in the middle don't get out and vote. I think that they are pounded so hard on the TV and such that they fail to grasp that just because the extreemest are the loudesrt they are not actually a majority. The other problem is that you basically either vote for the Rapeyoublican or the Dumbocrats. NEITHER is a very good choice for someone in the working middle class.

Something the following table doesn't point out is "what type of firearm". Handguns are puny weapons when it comes to real combat. However, there is the example of the Warsaw ghetto where Jewish people were trapped by the NAZIs. These people started out with like only a half-dozen handguns. They used the handguns to shoot isolated German troops to steal their rifles. Too, I guess one could use a .22 rifle to obtain a real rifle. With these battle rifles, the Jewish Resistance could snipe German troops and command officers. Urban dwellers often don't own center-fire rifles -- wouldn't know how to use one if handed a real rifle.

In a guerilla war, snipers are going to have to make long shots, i.e. the round must have serious retained energy and velocity out past 300 meters. In any urban warfare / building-to-building, the rifle must be able to shoot through walls to create casualties inside structures the enemy imagined would provide cover. Only in the movies do walls stop bullets (stone or concrete walls?, ok so maybe).

Owning a center-fire rifle chambered in a military caliber allows one to use soft-point ammo for hunting and FMJs for range practice and defense (should things go sideways).

Should an invalid / anti-Constitutional government go dictatorship, many (most?) National Guard units will refuse to follow invalid edicts. They will form "civilian" militias and steal their issue weaponry. Decades ago, I knew guys who were Guardsmen who brought all manner of weaponry & ammo home with them. Defecting military units will have RPGs, explosives, maybe even mobile armor. Some military divisions will stay together but attack the invalid government.

Meanwhile, civilians will need center-fire rifles due to predating bad actors, even organized mobile gangs. Stealing fuel, even fuel trucks, will be the order of the day. Truckers usually are anything but liberal in their politics.
