Nevada does not require voters to provide any type of identification before voting, but voters are required to provide a signature that must match the state’s files.

A Nevada Independent poll earlier this year found a majority of Nevada voters strongly supported voter ID laws, which have been a key aspect of Republicans’ electoral reform efforts. A bill pushed by Republican Gov. Joe Lombardo this year to enact voter ID laws stalled in the Democratic-controlled Legislature.

In an interview Thursday, Gibbs said the group had addressed the legal issues raised last year, and he derided Democrats for their opposition to voter ID laws.

“Why are the Democrats so afraid of voter ID?” Gibbs said in an interview. “You’ve got to show an ID to do a lot of different things nowadays, and yet when it comes to the fundamental right of our democracy and our republic, which is voting, they’re insistent that nobody should have to prove who they are.”

Bradley Schrager, one of the lawyers who brought the lawsuit, declined to comment. The secretary of state’s office, which oversees ballot petitions and was named as a defendant in the suit, also declined to comment.

Unrelenting as the Furies of Greek legend, the Whitewater affair has struck again at the White House, this time with allegations that top Presidential aides helped arrange "hush money" payments to a disgraced friend of the Clintons from their Arkansas days, to dissuade him from co-operating with Whitewater investigators.

The furore erupted on Tuesday evening when the White House disclosed that Mr Clinton's first chief of staff, Thomas "Mac" McLarty, and Erskine Bowles, who currently holds the job, helped find work for Webster Hubbell in 1994 after Mr Hubbell resigned as Associate Attorney General.

Within a few months of his departure, Mr Hubbell had been charged and convicted of swindling $480,000 (pounds 300,000) from the Rose Law Firm in Little Rock, Arkansas, where he had been a partner alongside Hillary Clinton, and was familiar with her work on behalf of Madison Guaranty, the failed savings bank at the heart of the Whitewater controversy.

But in his hour of supreme need - jobless, with a family to support, and staring at the prospect of a 16-month jail sentence for fraud - financial help miraculously emerged, in the shape of a clutch of business and legal consultancies worth more than $400,000 a year. Most of these were put together at the urging of close aides of the Clintons. Among these latter, it now emerges, were Mr McLarty and Mr Bowles.

Thus the central question emerges: were the payments to encourage Mr Hubbell, then under intense pressure from Whitewater prosecutors to co- operate in return for a lighter sentence, to keep his mouth shut? If so, as the Wall Street Journal pointed out yesterday, "a cover-up scandal not seen since Watergate" might be about to unravel.

At this stage, of course, the parallel is still fanciful, and the White House insists that Mr Clinton's associates were merely trying to help an old friend through his troubles. All three were pillars of the close- knit local establishment of the 1980s: Mr Clinton as Governor, Mr McLarty as head of the state energy company, Arkla, and Mr Hubbell as a former Mayor of Little Rock. People were "understandably concerned about Mr Hubbell's well-being," a White House spokesman said.

But, in Washington's ultra-partisan climate, such explanations are unlikely to suffice. At the very least, the latest revelations will generate more demands for testimony from the Republican-controlled Congressional committees that torment the Clinton White House.

Far more serious, they could become the "missing link" that allows Mr Starr to bring the scandal over 1996 Democratic campaign fundraising under the already broad umbrella of his Whitewater investigation. Among the providential benefactors of Mr Hubbell, with a $100,000 retainer, was the same Lippo group of Indonesia which made massive, allegedly improper, contributions to the Democratic party last year.

I'm no Trump fan, but I and tens of millions of others will vote for him only because of his policies, pro-Constitution, all that mature-mind-set reasoning. Here in the States, many people have difficulty after large storms / hurricanes pass through. The groceries instantly empty of food and bottled water. Aid agencies and churches end up having to take care of thousands.

Post-SHTF -- fill in the blank as to the nature of the event(s) -- nobody's gonna be there for anybody else. Call 911 and they could get a recorded message ... that is if telecommunication systems are still in place. In all likelihood, all communications will be down save for short wave radio and that may only be there if people have generators.

Emergency services and military will be massively overwhelmed, especially in urban areas.

Most urban-dwellers have never even so much as gone camping. Houses often have no fireplace to light a fire over which to heat up a can of beans. No apartments have places to build fires. Some people have a BBQ grill, maybe even a good gas grill, but how long is that fuel going to last = very little time.

When public water systems become compromised, cities and townships say, "Boil your water." Post-SHTF, just how is it that these people are going to boil their water?!

Me, I've put-back stacks of matches (wooden matches) and other fire-starting products. How many matches do most folk keep at home? People may have a few candles, but they likely don't have kerosene lamps nor any fuel for them even if they had the lamps. Spare candles, spare paraffin to make candles, profoundly few people have these supplies.

Total external dependency -- that is what one witnesses among the vast majority citizens these days.

If society goes sideways, most folk have no defenses against interlopers/looters.

So, conservatives should be worried. It was not too long ago that Lois Lerner, head of the IRS’ Exempt Organisations Unit under President Barack Obama, used her power to specifically target conservative non-profits. This clear government malfeasance was met with outrage, and she was forced to resign. The private sector, especially the large banks, are not so easy to take to task. This is a problem.

We often scoff at the notion that a “social credit” regime could never happen in America or the UK. This form of tyranny, we believe, is surely not the stuff of democratic regimes devoted to liberty. But it is happening here – with increasing success.

Yet the government is not merely targeting individuals who are voicing their discontent so much as it is taking aim at individuals trained in military warfare.

In recent years, military servicemen and women have found themselves increasingly targeted for surveillance, censorship, threatened with incarceration or involuntary commitment, labeled as extremists and/or mentally ill, and stripped of their Second Amendment rights, all for daring to voice their concerns about the alarming state of our union and the erosion of our freedoms.

This latest victim’s name is Bryan Malinowski. The nightmare began with ATF warrants over alleged regulatory paperwork violations—just paperwork. This should have been a straightforward, peaceful situation handled in an office by day. Instead, a heavily-armed ATF team conducted a pre-dawn raid at Mr. Malinowski’s home, resulting in him being fatally shot in the head.

The local prosecutor for the Sixth Judicial District, Will Jones, said in a statement that video recorded by the Little Rock Police Department, which assisted in the raid, had revealed new details about what happened that morning.

According to Mr. Jones, who did not immediately respond to requests for comment, the video showed that at 6:02 a.m., a patrol officer turned on his vehicle’s emergency lights and siren “to announce the presence of law enforcement.” At that time, A.T.F. agents standing outside Mr. Malinowski’s door “began a series of knocking” and announced their presence, Mr. Jones said, citing the recording.

Twenty-eight seconds after knocking, agents used a ram to breach the door, he said.
Mr. Malinowski’s wife, Maer, told The New York Times in an interview that the couple had heard loud noises outside their bedroom door that morning. Mr. Malinowski told his wife to “stay back,” and reached into a drawer for a gun, she said, before walking out into the hallway. Vanessa Sivadge told investigative journalist Christopher Rufo that she saw a dramatic rise of “transgender children” being treated at Texas Children’s Hospital (TCH) starting in 2021 and accused her employer of violating state law by using taxpayer dollars to provide the “gender-affirming care.”

“In the cardiac clinic, we were taking sick kids and making them better,” the nurse told Rufo. “In the transgender clinic, it was the opposite. We were harming these kids.”

Two months after first speaking with him, Sivadge called Rufo “in a panic.”

“The FBI had sent two special agents, Paul Nixon and David McBride, to her home,” the journalist wrote on his blog. “The agents knocked on the door, asked her about ‘some of the things that have been going on at [her] work lately,’ and then asked to enter her home. She was terrified.”

The nurse alleged that Nixon and McBride told her she was a “person of interest” in an investigation targeting the whistleblower who exposed TCH’s transgender child program and notified her that the whistleblower was in violation of federal privacy laws.

“They threatened me,” Sivadge said. “They promised they would make life difficult for me if I was trying to protect the leaker. They said I was ‘not safe’ at work and claimed that someone at my workplace had given my name to the FBI.”

Sivadge is the second TCH employee to have blown the whistle after Dr. Ethain Haim leaked documents to prove that the hospital had provided children with puberty-blocking drugs and other gender-affirming treatments, “even after hospital officials said they had stopped the procedures in March 2022,” the Daily Mail reported.

Just a month after leaking the documents to Rufo, Haim also claims that the FBI came to his home and notified him that he was a “potential target” in a federal probe.

“I was given a target letter signed by a federal prosecutor that stated I was being criminally investigated for a case regarding medical records,” the doctor said.

The FBI agents showing up to his door was a “blatant attempt at political intimidation,” Haim said.

In an interview with Fox News’s Laura Ingraham, the surgeon said he has being targeted because he “told the truth.”

“It’s because I had told the truth, and that’s one of the things — if you counter the dominant political ideology, they’re going to come after you,” Haim said. “At some point, we have to fight against it.”

He also claimed his life savings have been “wiped out” by having to pay lawyers to fight for him.

“If the state decides to pursue criminal charges, the doctors involved could face significant fines and up to 10 years in prison.”

The Gore family had a massive toxic waste dump on their property -- they'd just dump 55 gallon barrels of "God only knows what" chemicals down a ravine on one of their properties. Every dang body in East Tennessee knew about it.

The question is, what will this mean for conservatives and patriots going forward? Is this cause for elation, or should Americans be getting ready for the rug to be pulled out from underneath them?

After Trump’s win in 2016 (which I predicted a year ahead of the elections) I suggested that Trump might be set up as the next Herbert Hoover; the scapegoat for a host of economic and social calamities caused by obscure and shadowy interests. I also questioned whether or not Trump would be a willing participant in this theater.

With the combination of BLM riots, Federal Reserve interest rate hikes, the pandemic hysteria, covid stimulus triggering stagflation, the January 6th “insurrection”, Trump was turned into a pariah (for the most part unjustly). Conservatives in 2020 and beyond were labeled the ultimate villains; the “destroyers of democracy.” Trump was, in many ways, pigeonholed as another Hoover.

What happens when Biden walks away? All of that economic rigging disappears, and then the real data comes out while Trump is in office. Maybe WWIII kicks off, too. And guess who will be blamed? The fingers will point at Trump, but they will also point at YOU.

The agenda will be to put conservative and liberty movement principles on trial and paint them as ideals of calamity. Meritocracy, individualism, independence, personal liberty, responsibility and discipline, free markets, private property, everything that makes up the foundations of western civilization is going to be put on the pyre. Giving Trump an easy win against a cognitive deficient like Biden (or any other weak candidate) might be a setup; letting conservatives gain a moment of power only to find they’re sitting on the throne of a crumbling castle.

At the very least there will be organized leftist riots in major cities across the US. As we witnessed in France, the political left has no intention of giving up power and they will do anything to keep it, including burn down the neighborhood. More reserved liberals will join forces with the most extreme socialist activist groups in order to win at any cost. Trump’s presence in the Oval Office would be the perfect trigger for an endless parade of DEI clowns and Antifa freaks creating as much pandemonium as possible.

It’s up to us, not Trump, to determine the course of our nation’s future. And if he (or any other political leader) fails to live up to our standards, then at that point we’ll have to do the ugly thing that everyone knows is necessary but no one wants to be responsible for. Just remember that we’re going to be painted as bad guys, not freedom fighters, when we take that step.

In June, The New Republic's cover story featured a characterization of Trump's face with Hitler's infamous mustache. "Yes, That's Right: American Fascism," the headline read.

A December Washington Post headline stated, "Yes, it's okay to compare Trump to Hitler. Don't let me stop you."

Outlets like The Washington Post, New Republic and New York try to influence public discourse. They are showing their readers not just what to think but how to think by distributing derogatory opinion disguised as responsible journalism.

They bear responsibility for pushing the narrative, not just that Trump's policies were awful, but that he was basically Hitler.

What's more, these major news outlets didn't hold each other accountable for propagating these images and inflamed rhetoric. No one but conservatives and conservative media called them out for it. When they did, they were dubbed too sensitive, dramatic or just plain wrong.

All of this raises uncomfortable questions: Will Democratic leaders and progressive journalists disavow their "Trump is a fascist and future dictator" rhetoric? Or will they stop calling for unity after an attack that has shaken millions of Americans?

They must choose one or the other.

Conservatives are generally more reserved in nature. They tend to be over age 35. Having seen what life actually entails, their youthful fantasies are well behind them. They are less aggressive. They are able to push down their emotions.

Push them beyond the breaking point and what happens is that their suppressed emotions will break out en masse. Should the election be won by the Democratic Socialists via cheating (the ONLY way they can win, especially this year) something's gonna give. I expect violence.
