My food was rotting for weeks in the fridge, and even my perishables were going bad. This scenario started around the time summer started, which I believe was a few weeks ago. Afterward, I was packing some lunch for work and realized that there was air in my Ziploc sandwich bag. I then remembered something I learned about oxygen increasing the decay rate of foods. I pumped the air out of the bag, and I did this with all my food. I found that my food was lasting longer and smelling less. My mom was delighted too because it meant she had to make fewer trips to the grocery store. We also bought those vacuum Ziplocs my mom was raving about since she heard a recommendation at work. They also worked well. Does anyone use them?
