What Do You Think About Chinese "social Credit System"?

And my last thread about electric cars brought me to another thing for which I want your opinion for a long time. Have you heard about Chinese social credit system? I guess Orwell would turn into his grave seeing this reality. You do not behave? You will not buy a train ticket, bus ticket, they will not sell you petrol... Uhh.

This scared me really. Ironically, I work for a company that develops and installs biometric and face recognition systems and there is more in the development for the near future than most of us can imagine. :/

 

The Chinese credit system along with the facial recognition , along with chip implants for identification seems to be gaining a foothold in society . I am not that a religious a person but this is scary stuff , especially when you consider it predicted this happening thousands of years ago in the bible . Prehaps someone on here can direct readers on here to the exact spot in the bible that this prediction was made . It states toward the end of mankind " people will not be able to buy or sell unless they take the mark of the beast " .

 

Combine all of this with electronic banking and a cashless society and the government would have total control, worst of all the would have us doing it to each other.

 

The amazing thing is, many will go cashless WILLINGLY, and have no idea of what is eventually coming upon us all...

Fifty percent of any economy on this planet is black market. Were it not for the black market, the recession of 2008 could have gone depression or overt collapse. Non-official arms dealings and the illegal drug trade is super important now that governmental-issued currencies are on the verge of collapse.

When it hits the fan, currency will be beans and bullets. Silver will be dynamite because it is an industrial element (especially in the chemicals industry). Gold coins or bullion will be something you'd better not flash ... except in India where this heavy metal is part of daily life.

 

I certainly agree with the theory that the new currency will be beans and bullets and I guess it would depend on how for civilization collapses whether any type of metal gold or silver would be worth as much as beans .

 

We had heard about this and couldn't believe it was happening. Some friends have a son who was living in China, and he gave all the gory details. It is horrifying. If your social score drops low enough you will just disappear. It is complete mind control.

How anyone could think there is anything good about this is shocking.

 

I guess they are afraid to tell otherwise, as they will lose credit if they do.

 

Just read that already 23 millions of Chinese people already lost the possibility to travel, as they are not able to buy tickets for train or bus.
And it gets even better, as by 2022 China wants to limit cash transactions to ~6 USD.

The Chinese are able to convince the population that these changes are good and acceptable......they've been conditioned since birth to trust their government. The few dissenters are quickly located and disappear. Our government would love to have that ability and they're trying. An American citizen can legally be detained without access to council, without being charged, kept in secret, if the gov't determines that person is a terrorist; you are held and no one knows expect the people that snatched you. The definition of "terrorist" is very fluid depending on the situation and the needs of the government at that time.

You are correct. The "anti-terrorist" laws are very "bendable" and the governments over Europe start to use them massively, which is kind of scary.

 

Speaking of warlords, China is to this day divided. The armies -- yes, plural -- of China are organized by region. If the people of a given region act-up, the army that is brought in to quiet them is from another region. "Divide and conquer" is the theme of the central government.

Army generals are the ones in charge of industries. This is the payoff.
