I have been seeing talks here and there about China becoming the next world super power. What do you think are the odds and how close to that are we?

We are close to that if not yet that China is looming to be the most powerful nation. And it's all about China's huge population. They are now controlling the world economy with their lendings particularly to African countries and some Asian countries as well. They are building a strong military. And if you haven't heard, China had built an improvised military base in the contested Spratly islands. I have noticed that the US is not that brave anymore when it comes to China. Maybe because of the debts? Oh well, we have already prepared mentally in any eventuality involving China.

"Beijing Accelerating Timeline For Possible Invasion Of Taiwan, Expert Warns"

    https://www.zerohedge.com/geopoliti...imeline-possible-invasion-taiwan-expert-warns

"Twenty Chinese military aircraft - including four nuclear-capable H-6K bombers, 10 J-16 fighter jets, two Y-8 anti-submarine warfare aircraft, and a KJ-500 airborne early warning and control aircraft - entered Taiwan’s air defense identification zone (ADIZ) on March 26, according to Taiwan’s Ministry of National Defense. It was the largest incursion ever reported by the ministry.

"Taiwan’s ADIZ, located adjacent to the island’s territorial airspace, is an area where incoming planes must identify themselves to the island’s air traffic controller."

Whether China is a superpower or not, the communist Chinese government considers itself to be THE military power center of the Asian region. They have the nukes. They have a powerful navy armed with nukes. They have stated that they are perfectly willing to go to war with the U.S.. They want the oil resources of Asia and they are perfectly willing to go to war to procure it.

"Chinese Warships Circle Japan, Provoking ‘Strong Concern’"

    https://www.breitbart.com/asia/2022/06/23/chinese-warships-circle-japan-provoking-strong-concern/

"Japan’s government said this week it spotted three Chinese warships 'sailing an unusual route around the archipelago,' the South China Morning Post (SCMP) reported on Wednesday, noting that the sighting comes amid heightened tensions between Tokyo and Beijing over maritime territorial disputes.

“'Japan’s defence ministry said two Chinese guided-missile destroyers and a supply ship had on Monday [June 20] sailed southwest through an area to the southeast of Chiba prefecture,' the Hong Kong-based SCMP relayed, citing an original report by Japan’s Kyodo News.

“'They had reportedly entered the Sea of Japan from the Tsushima Strait, then headed into the Pacific Ocean via waters near Hokkaido last week. The warships then sailed through waters east of Miyagi county on Sunday [June 19] and appeared to be circumnavigating the Japanese archipelago,' according to the report.

"China’s state-run Global Times confirmed on June 21 that China’s Navy deployed a fleet of warships to sail around the Japanese archipelago in recent days.

"China’s naval exercises near Japan come amid renewed friction between the two sides over Beijing’s recent gas field exploration in an area of the East China Sea near Japan that is disputed by both sides. Japan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs said on June 20 that it had “confirmed that China set up a new drilling facility for gas fields on the west side of a Tokyo-proposed median line separating the two nations’ exclusive economic zones in the [East China] sea,” Kyodo News reported on June 23.

"Tokyo fears that Beijing’s unchecked activities in the disputed area may lead to China extracting underground resources from beneath Japan’s side of an unofficial boundary separating the territory between the two nations."

China's rise has been very insidious and very stealthy, they now have fingers in many pies in many countries due to their trading tentacles.
it dosent matter where you buy stuff these days especially clothes it all seems to be "made in China".

I've lately purchased garments from Bangladesh. That country could use the money. I've not read of Bangladesh keeping any minorities in internment camps as does China. China really is an evil dragon.

China is a super power, its building more ships, it has the technology and will be the No1 navy in the world before too long. Odds are anything electronic in your house is made in China and cheap clothes from Bangladesh are made by some of the 4,700.000 strong child labour force working in appalling conditions, on top of that the Supreme Court of the USA just set womens rights back decades.

    The worlds pretty messed up.

The U.S. Supreme Court just ruled that the right to murder babies in the womb happens not to be in the Constitution.

If you want to kill your babies (who in fetal form represent the equivalent of tearing kittens apart alive, or scalding them to death with saline solutions) there are socialist states where you will be welcome.

Adoption is allowed in all 50 states and there are millions of people waiting in massively long lines to adopt children irrespective of their race or physical condition, healthy or handicapped. Many adopting parents must go to other countries to find children, this because of babies being murdered in Amerika.

China has a navy, but as yet are unable to move masses of troops. They are re-fitting cargo ships to send their troops to rape other countries. China may have to be annihilated by a phalanx of nuclear warheads. Our nuclear armed birds up in space will have to deal with China's incoming.

The right to murder. Wow, how sick! I wish I had that sort of power. I would use it to take-out those who murder God's little children. God would be disappointed in me ... a bit. St. Michael would give me aid.

Sighted in another rifle this week. Disappointing in its lousy loading system (loading gate on lever is a royal bother, low quality), but gosh, it sure is accurate. Feeds and fires without flaw.

Spoken like a true non thinker there Old Geezer, ill thought out and based on ignorance and yet another prime example of why your once great nation is going down the crapper fast.

'Murdering babies in the womb' ? Idiotic statement, shame on you and the other ignorant Americans backing this step back in time but then I'm guessing that deep down you don't hold much respect for women.

You and others of your kind have got your wish, putting women on the path to Republic of Gilead.

I expect Lonewolf will remove this post but I hope you read it first.

Your elitist personal attacks delight me.

You confirm American prejudices against the British.

The next time you need us, I deeply hope my nation doesn't make the mistake of bailing you out yet again.

I am sooooooooooooo glad that my ancestors (the Over-Mountain Men) wiped away the stain of your officer Patrick Ferguson along with our sycophantic Tories who toadied-up to the crown.

Your cities deserve to be invaded and taken-over by masses of violent immigrants. Seems the British Empire isn't quite finished.

Amerika WILL be destroyed -- that's a given. They are mirrors of European thinking = dead meat.

America will survive. We always have.

When it hits the fan, I'm certain that your Spanish "friends" will quickly deal with all of the British ex-pat.s wallowing about in their country.

The problem with prolife and abortionist is there is no middle ground. When a fetus in not viable outside the womb, it is not a baby. Once a fetus is viable outside the womb, it has become a baby and must be protected, just like any other baby. The problem is the extremes. The abortionist want to be allowed to kill a baby even during the birthing. The prolife extremists want the the egg protected as soon as it is fertilized. I will not vote for either extremes.

despite the above several posts being off topic(China) I will let them stand as the subject is of interest but I would ask members to tone down the rhetoric. (Moderator).
on a personal level I think this is a retrograde step taking abortion back to the 50s and 60s.
