"... we still don't understand all of that ..."

    There it is.

    "I don't know." "We don't know."

I intensely wish more people would come out and just tell the truth about how much we humans do not understand. Wise people admit to the reality of their being stumped by some phenomenon or simply get real and say, "What phenomena?! What the dickens are you talking about?!"

The more I learn, the more I realize how much I do not know. I say, "I do not know," all the time, then just stop talking.

Uh, oh, Old Geezer can't shut up! He's going to keep writing! Or, should I say, "ranting"?! If you are willing to put up with a rant, read on. If you need to move on to more sane adventures, stop reading the spew shooting out of this old goat's fetid brain. Too, I've included a couple of links at the end of this rant showing a house-type in which I've always been interested -- jump to them if you're tired of reading my sh##.

    You were warned ...

With what dimensions we know and can perceive, "brilliant" physicists attempt to explain a universe composed of who knows how many dimensions using string theory and have to come up with new words like quarks and charm and ...
    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_unsolved_problems_in_physics

"Climate change" in the lingo of the Left means, "Humans did it by burning fossil fuels which is another greedy capitalist sin." The Left hates religion, however in what way are they different than the holier-than-thou Bible-thumpers & Koran-thumpers who scream, "Sinner, sinner!!!" ?

I may not understand climate change, however I do recognize panic when I see it.

And if the Left wants to do away with fossil fuels, then we need energy sources as powerful as, even more powerful than fossil fuels and that means nuclear power. Wanna kick out the stops and get serious, then we need to go non-breeder reactor power plants. Work on that technology 24/7. The technology is well into development, however it will be more expensive than breeder reactors and a whole lot more development must needs be done.

However, the world nations need not take a dump in their pants and shut down their economies because of the "Gaia is dying" screams.

The world is going to see more numerous storms and more powerful storms. Don't build on the ocean's beaches and don't build your buildings out of sticks -- The Three Little Pigs story has much to teach. Build smarter homes.

Many wish to "become one with the Earth", OK so I'm all with the concept. I'd love to construct one of the following type of houses:

Old Geezer the houses in the videos is something along the lines we have considered for an upcoming house building project . We usually build our own houses but the cellar is just something I have no experience with . I have talked to someone that does cellars about the house . The location of the upcoming house is on a steep mountain side with an awesome view . A portion of the house being underground would put the top level more level with the entrance . Making this structure off grid is also on our discussion table .

    This just in:

    https://bgr.com/2019/12/21/earth-news-co2-levels-climate-change/

It's real. Besides the standard problems, we're running out of oxygen to breath.

With the article's referenced "new research", it's definitely not too early to trade in your abacus for a Texas Instruments calculator. Thinking is out when the lack of O2 affects us.

It's all about that "cognitive decline in humans as a whole".

Prior to the dreaded year 2100, the immediate danger is the faculty at the Univ of Colorado, Boulder, Colorado School of Public Health and the University of Pennsylvania.

LoneWolf they are trying to panic people with these end of the world predictions that have no real science behind them. I remember the "hole" in the ozone layer that was going to kill all of us with skin cancer. Once we threw away a trillion dollars doing a forced change from a near-perfect refrigerant to a flawed and less efficient one...we never heard about it again BECAUSE IT NEVER EXISTED in the way they said that it did and never was a threat.

These are the same people that tell us that if you take all the guns away from the good law-abiding people so that only criminals have guns that we will be safer.

One proven result of their being more CO2 in the atmosphere is the increasing biomass of the world's existing forests. More plant life = more oxygen.

Oh, also: More major thunder storms around the planet means more ozone being pumped back into the atmosphere which blocks solar radiation. Lightning may not be good for golfers, however it's generation of ozone helps protect us from Sun farts.

And don't forget Comet Kahoutek that was supposed to drag it's poisonous tail across the earth and kill all of us. We MUST do something to move the planet before it comes around again in 75,000 years!

This week has seen the record for the hottest day time temperature in Australia broken twice on consecutive days, We're having "once in a lifetime" flooding every other year in the UK. Higher life forms are dying off in our oceans due to plastics and persistent chemicals which almost certainly cause a cascade of extinctions .
I don't want to argue with anyone here because these are unarguable facts... They're beyond dispute.

I don't think that anyone doubts that this year Australia is catching a really bad weather pattern. A few years ago Texas had a horrible summer. There was a drought and fires were everywhere. The lakes and ponds started to dry up and the pastures died making it almost impossible for ranchers to keep their livestock fed. Out came the end of the world climate people and they told us that this was what it was going to be like from now on. They predicted that the pine forests would totally die out and the prairies would become deserts. I knew people that bought into this and sold off most of their cattle.

After those three bad years, we proceeded to have THREE century-floods and since have had a much wetter and much cooler weather pattern. That summer we had weeks of temperatures in the 110 + up to 117. This summer we very seldom got out of the upper 90s. THIS IS THE WAY WEATHER IS!

A decade or so ago we had a bad hurricane season. there were so many hurricanes that they ran out of names! The end of the world climate people came out and told us that this was the way it was going to be from now on. they added a bunch of names to the lest from then on...and we went ten years without a major hurricane making landfall in the US and none in the Gulf of Mexico.

When the weather is bad it is tough and when it is really bad it is frightening. a few bad years though is NOT a climate change it is just WEATHER. The FACT is that the last few centuries have been a period of exceptionally mild WEATHER. There have been bad periods in places. A series of droughts probably is what brought down several of the South American civilizations. It also may have brought down the North American cultures that were thriving at that time.

If things are still burning in Australia in 10 years it may be a sign of climate change in Australia. Climates do change and it is a well-known fact. What the panic mongers do is take this fact and leave out the fact that it also changes back and doesn't always change the same everywhere. After the drought when the rain came back to Texas they were quiet for a while and then started saying "See, climate change now you are going to be cold and be flooded all the time!!" We are back into a drought period now. THAT is Texas WEATHER!

    ROFL !

"Lightning may not be good for golfers" My suggestion is to make the golf course into a cow pasture.

Ystrenc; We yanks have the Marine Mammals Act (Hug a whale instead of a tree). We surely do have whales and other marine mammals dying off because of plastics and chemicals. Stranded sea turtles also at risk of not getting rescued.

The problem is not natural matters like warming seas or changing current patterns. It's about poor quality government.

I once researched getting into bee raising. The honey bees are dying off because of agricultural chemicals' overuse.

Science is out. Campaign contributions are in.

I was looking at some satellite images of Australia recently and noted the new massive ocean bay that has formed due to inclement weather. Wow, that's odd! Gosh, uh ........ what to do? Maybe some new port cities (?). The Land Down Under sure will be getting more rain. Some Aussie desert areas will get hotter, but some desert will be getting rain. Wonder what new crops and forests will grow? The coasts? Don't live on coastlines; oceans slosh.

some people still don't believe that climate change is real even after all the weather events, whilst threequarters of the world wants something done about it before it becomes irreversible.
not saying anyone has to believe it, that's up to the individual person, that is their perogitive.
i'm a prepper because I have an open mind on all this stuff, I believe SHTF/TEOTWAWKI is inevitable, its just a matter of time, a case of when not if.
if I didn't believe any of this stuff i'd be just another sheeple who believed "nothing bad will ever happen, we are humans we are invincible, we can do anything we like without consequence".

This article informs as to who the nations are that are causing the problem, then asks me to do something about it. Wow, the chutzpah!

I am a miser. I refill soda bottles with filtered water to drink; often mix-in some Kool-Aid. I don't throw much of anything away unless it has been utterly used-up or not safe due to bacteria. I threw a good bottle away yesterday -- I'd made two (3?) drinks in the same bottle, great bottle. We have three shelves of drink glasses. I buy wax paper cartons of drinks; such as milk and orange juice. I'm no Gaia-worshiper, I'm stingy; we don't waste. Some people seem to not be able to discipline themselves.

We have a little putt-putt, rice-rocket car for short commutes. But, I have an SUV for the dangerous roads and the bad weather. Fertilizer for my garden = dried manure (methane? maybe I am evil).

Wanna attack global warming? Go nuclear power. Electric cars will never be useful until they are charged with nuclear power electric generators (today's electric cars are run on coal; think about it). Ship all long-distance heavy cargo by trains. Trains, they've been around for a while, don't'cha'know. Go back to glass containers. Tell Mr. Flatulent Sun to stop all its farting. Tell Gaia to grow back her magnetic fields.

Solar power and wind power? Maybe for part of a home's use, but to run society ... Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha !!!!!!!!!!!

Lonewolf, and everyone else that feels as though changes are coming that are outside of the norms. Would you please describe for me some specifics of what you believe is coming. Even out to 25 to 50 years from now. Farther out if you want to 100 to 500 years. Not wanting an argument. Just want a better understanding of what people are thinking.

I'm trying to understand others perspectives on this subject.

If your concerns aren't climate, but more population, pollution, etc. Please let me know that and how think it will impact the planet.

I always figure you never know if you don't ask, so I'm asking. Thanks!

    Good afternoon Dale,

    Re "changes coming outside of the norm", "some specifics";

My primary focus is mass contagious diseases that could be labeled outside the norm.

For a specific/some background: I've posted here and gave a photocopy to Watcherchris and Coffee at our first/only area meeting, an article from the New York Times of 28 August 18 titled "China Withholds samples of Avian Flu Virus".

Article available on the web but requires registration with NYT.

Much of our new strains of influenza originate in Guangzhu Province, China (known also by former name of Canton) where they have world's largest pig farms (not to be confused with the Golden Corral restaurant customers). Informal agreements are in place to share the current strain(s).

I see the inevitability of weaponizing certain infectious germs, like the flu strains. I relate this to the weaponizing of the gene-splicing/ glue-ons of CRISP-R, especially using mosquitoes, humans' major predator.

Battle ships left the scene. Aircraft carriers are sinkable and useless but cash cows for a couple of small segments of US society, Nuclear warfare is on hold.

Germ warfare is inexpensive to develop and deploy, relatively speaking. Fallout shelters and HAZMAT suits are impractical.

This is the specific, big change I see coming. I believe adversaries will be well armed much prior than 25 years from now.

I'm in the Lonewolf camp on this. If I'm wrong and my inventories and loadouts prove useless, the gear and cases of coffee won't go to waste.

Climate change and pollution are not the same. Two completely different problems, requiring different approaches and solutions. Climate Change is a naturally occurring process. Pollution is a MAN MADE problem and can be corrected, it just takes the focus of humans and requires these same humans to act. Boycott all these countries that are dumping wast into the oceans. Don't buy products made in these countries. As for climate change, blame the universe and how it it works. Mankind will breed themselves into a major catastrophe but it won't be caused by the climate but by over working the land to feed the billions.

I already keep bees, I'm lucky enough to live in a place where neonicotinoids were never used. I also live in a place where water is plentiful but at a high enough altitude that Noah himself would choose to build a house at secure in the knowledge that it cannot flood. This is all by conscious choice and forms the basis of my prepping.

I can see more severe flooding and more storms, sea level rises, places like Glastonbury will again be an island. changes in temperature will involve a different way of living, maybe working earlier and later and resting during the heat of the day "mad dogs and Englishmen" sort of thing.

All the coal, oil, natural gas, and as yet untaped methane was free CO2 that was eaten by plants. if that carbon being free millions of years ago didn't kill the planet why would freeing it now do that? Vote liberal or the world dies. Raise taxes or the world dies. Ignore the fact the most polluting societies are the socialists with poor living conditions.

The world actually was hotter back when more CO2 was in the atmosphere. True. Another thing is that Earth has been continually growing its ozone layer. Did the ozone layer get holes -- yes. Is it repairing -- yes. The largest hole is now almost covered back. Is CO2 the only culprit -- lord no! Planet's magnetic fields weakening. Sun is farting. On and on ...

Envirowacko crowd is saying that the Earth is warming faster than species can evolve. Let's say they are correct. Impact? Bad news, yet do NOT tell me that species can't rapidly. Coastal cities get horrid storms in the time in which we are now living = not gonna see me living near a coast.

Environmental apocalypse is a core component of Leftist dogma. They are anti-capitalists, duh! They want to form a human utopia based on Marxist b.s.. They are out-of-touch with reality to the MAX, duh!

Mass-hysteria is a phenomenon that has happened throughout human history. One Biblical myth that tells an absolutely wonderful spiritual story is the Tower of Babel story. I simply love this; I consider the story Inspired by On-High, really do. Today's Marxism / collectivism is human beings creating their own path to paradise -- it's a rebuilding of the Tower of Babel. "We humans know best!"

I don't believe in the Old-Guy-in-the-Sky god. There is Divinity (and unfortunately chaos) in this universe. Such is the source of evolution (chaos = entropy). Deny the Divinity and you will not evolve spiritually. Religious mythology uses terms of "saved" and "damned". Our plane of existence is one of many -- today's physics is only beginning to learn about other dimensions.

Marxism wishes to hold on to a view of the world that is locked in some sort of perverse Newtonian existence. It's like the view of university professors, "We now know or will know all that is needed to be known." So the elitist lot, the professors and political preachers of the Left, are setting themselves up to be the latter-day builders of some pie-in-the-sky utopia. Such thinking is completely and totally adolescent in nature. Mature human beings don't believe this sh##. Sh## is sh##!

University lecturers and the screeching Leftist politicians are making every attempt to indoctrinate the weak-minded into believing that their mountain of manure is brown gold. It takes a lot of perfume, friends. Me, my nose knows when someone has tried to deodorize a catastrophic diarrhea event.

It's my belief that the clock is ticking for the Left. They have to do their damage, disarm & disenfranchise the people, and set up their fascist centralized world government before the bad check pile -- government "money" -- is totally rejected by those who love Liberty, by those who do the real work of civilization.

Many little boys are screaming, "The emperor has no clothes!"

    Tick, tick, tick, .....

Well, evidently the end of the world climate change/global warming thing is beginning to run out of gas. I guess there is just no money left to pay for more hokie global warming studies. SOOOOOO as I have predicted and have seen in the past, the pendulum is swinging and "Scientists" are once again beginning to pick up steam and starting the "new" global ice age predictions. Yeppers they are predictable as hell.New age "scientists" will predict whatever they think will get them the most grant money. Facts never enter into thos crap.

    Good morning TexDanm,

    Exactly !

Appreciated seeing the quotes around "scientist". These scientists are merely those getting bloated paychecks, research trips and overseas conferences.

Our foundation stone is the Club of Rome; We're running out of food, out of oil, the sky is falling.

After WTC 9-11, every service academy and university had institutes for the study of terrorism.

These same "scientists" can't work the epidemic / pandemic scares too well because they can't access the money.

Now, it's Algore's melted icebergs solidifying back to icebergs.

No grapes growing in France ? Let them eat cake.

this is a one sided argument from an American point of view, the rest of the world thinks differently, that's why they have Climate Change meetings like the one in Davos.
there is another one in Glasgow in November.
petrol and diesel cars are to be banned in UK from 2035, 5 years earlier than was planned.

    Good morning Lonewolf,

There is global warming going on. It's a matter of routine on the planet's development. We've got water routes up in the northern areas already.

Davos was less a science meeting but rather about international business and public policy matters of member staters.

Today, 45 governments have carbon taxes. The US is the last holdout because of the November 2020 election. A short wait and the number will be 46.

Global warming - or cooling is a MINOR matter. Conservation, good stewards of the land and oceans is required regardless of the season, temperature or status of long term climate change events.

The big matters are national revenue streams.

Not too much is new under the sun.

The politicians want more power and money (ours) and climate change is what there trying to use. Ignore real problems (overfishing, pollution, population control) and fiddle a false tune, while Rome burns.

I do love the term, "the planet is dying" though. Does anyone really thing the planet will die. If we're not here, the planet doesn't care. It didn't "die" when the dinosaurs went extinct, so why would it if we do?

this may turn out to be the SHTF moment that we have all been waiting for.
instead of arguing whether it is real or not we should prepare for rising sea levels and weather disasters, maybe some old diseases that are frozen in the ice will be defrosted and reek havoc on the populations of the world.

    Good morning Lonewolf,

    Completely agree,

Whether it's warming excessively all over the planet or not, is not the governing factor.

Preparation for all realistic area hazards and perils are what we're really doing.

LOL LOL LOL>...thank you Lonewolf for augmenting the "herding" point I was making in the "Agenda 21" thread on the gasoline automobile and forcing/coercing people into overpriced electric cars or public transport.

In the internationalist/leftist/progressive plan for the world ...mobility is to be done away with and herded into controlled.....communes..

No suburbs or single unit housing...

And this is to be done via climate change and herding unto less mobility...to save the "Dying Planet."
I put that in there just for you Dalewick!!!

The liberty, freedom, and individuality some people have enjoyed is to be surrendered to the Emergency of Feudal/Royal.....Marxist communial….climate change....the dying planet.

Remember what Saint Greta....stated....."How Dare We???"

How dare we not cede to the herd and seek to keep and maintain our individuality...liberty and freedom.

After all...we as individual thinking Americans have committed a violation..a moral and ethical trespass.....much more severe than Democide or Genocide....

We have broken a higher law than our governing documents.....the dying planet.

A law which by "Default" makes us automatically guilty of a higher trespass ...a default law!!!

We are, by default, guilty of breaking a higher law than our Declaration of Independence and our Constitution ...The Supreme Law of our Land....not of the world......

How dare we not go along with the herd....and not cede our liberties and freedoms...our individuality.....

How dare we not think in lock step...….ein….ein….ein...one ...one one....one world..one mind....one way.....as olde Adolph Hitler stated...….and so too the Communist...Marx and Engles…..Even Chairman Mao......the party, the party, the party...

    How dare we....????

Much appreciated! Thanks! People are funny. Most actually believe that if we vanished today the world would end. The planet wouldn't even wobble for us. LOL!

When we are nothing more than recycled star dust, we will be food for flowers.

Electric vehicles are a environment hazard on a level never seen before. The environmentalist have never thought trough a singe recommendation in the past and now they are still failing to recognize the major hazard points of an all electric transportation. Solar panels needed for an all electric life are a waste management nightmare. Battery manufacturing, will be a major polluting factor. Those big excavation machines don't run on batteries. The batteries have a very limited life span and need to be disposed. The dead batteries will also become a huge waste management problem. As for "herding" how many rural people can afford $60,000 for an electric car and a battery replacement bill of $10K to 20K every 5 or 6 years. Before being thrilled the government is mandating all electric vehicles, be terrified you will all now have to live in the cities.

There is in all likelihood changes in weather world-wide. We humans contributed a bit. What causes changes in global weather, we humans are subject to, not the cause of.

I cannot change the planetary lines of magnetic flux. I cannot make the sun less flatulent. The magnetic poles will shift to wherever they decide to shift.

The big change that CO2 increases effect are the biomass of world forests. The biomass of world forests is increasing. Gee, I wonder why?!

Want me to turn into some eco-freak, bring up the topic of the Japanese parking lumber processing plants on ships as large as oil tankers and parking them in international waters off the coastlines of continents having huge rain forests; off Brazil, off our Pacific Northwest, off the southern coasts of Africa. The Japanese built a road across the entire southern part of Africa just to rape African forests. This road and the prostitutes who line it have spread AIDS like a wildfire. This road provides an escape route for stolen SUVs (inevitably shipped to Australia). The Japanese also have zero concern for fish and whale populations. The Japanese rape the Pacific of its sea life with gill nets. China was at one time building a new coal-fired electrical generation plant every two weeks. Southeast Asian dumps their plastic into the ocean.

Go hate on Asia, if you want somebody to hate.

Hate Gaia for letting Her magnetic fields fall into disrepair.

    Good morning TMT,

    My view is the same.

The environmentalists think their cafe latte is served to them in a building whose dirt foundation was cleared by an electric lawn mower.

I am not concerned about the global warming theory . What I am concerned about is the mass of people that are being lead into this realm of thinking by the one world globalist who are in control of the news outlets . People are being feed garbage and believing it . People being that easily duped makes the future of the planet look bleak . If the warming of the planet was really true and dire as the fake news would want us to believe , then as preppers all we have to do is out survive eighty percent of our neighbors and then because it is supposedly a man made disaster the planet will recover and us preppers will be living on a planet with a eighty percent population reduction . A prepper might even welcome the global die off .

parts of Antarctica are 18.3 degrees Celsius right now, that's 65 degrees Fahrenheit, that's warmer than it is in the UK most of the year, if that isn't worrying I don't know what is!

    TMT Tactical,

I was quite shocked some time back with a friend of mine who has a hybrid type car. The cost of a replacement battery is some $4,500. Wow!!

Was thinking of a landfill overloaded with these batteries if they could not be recycled somehow. Similar to a battery on a submarine or surface ship.....,heavy commercial type batteries. A huge environmental problem.

Particularly with so many cars coming due at the same time.

    by lonewolf,

This is more indicative of a pole shift to me.....and also by this ….a significant changing of the earth's magnetic field.

Anyone talking about this???? Or are they mostly talking about "Herding" people and their economic/social behaviors.

    Be Warned.

When you live in an apartment where do you charge a car's battery? Electric cars...that means that if you live off-grid that you will have to walk. If you have a long power outage you can't drive?

Eventually, some other form of powered vehicles will have to replace the internal combustion engine but right now there are too many problems with the electric cars to make them a realistic universal choice. I also wonder how well the struggling power grids would handle the massive increase of demand that universal electric cars would require?
