So many of the SOBs that come across the border have no marketable skills and without a social security card they are limited to just manual labor. When they can't make enough doing that they start stealing. Instead of us locking them up and supporting them in prison we need to neuter them and throw them back across the border. We need a lot of them to actually do the hard labor. The trash on welfare are never going to do any real work.

https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/worl...pc=U531&cvid=9c26f6140a6a4be8aa631f1761021a87 Another step closer to " Nuke Time " . Interesting to see some deny Nukes may fly , as if that will change it from happening . Again I don't know whether we are about to enter a " Global Nuclear War " or not , but am recognizing this as a very real possibility . Frankly at this point it appears it is becoming more likely Nukes will be launched than not , as global leaders on both sides of the conflict seem to have boxed themselves into an unavoidable escalation . --- Looking on the bright side . I was serious about I would enjoy a depopulated planet .

I think someone has nukes on the brain!
if anyone is stupid enough to start an all out nuclear war then the whole human race is stuffed.
it is said the only thing that can survive a nuclear blast is a Cockroach, cockroaches will inherit the earth after stupid humans blow it up.
there are plenty of ways of depopulating a planet without nuking it.

We have reached the point where there is no reason to LAUNCH nuclear weapons. We can detonate them where they are and kill everyone without wasting the effort to launch. Nuclear war is suicide. THAT fact had actually made for one of the longest periods without a world level war since the advent of airplanes able to deliver death from the sky in a very impersonal way.

Wars in the past were started and run ple that actually never were in any danger. It made the decission to go to war pretty easy since it wasn't going to be YOU getting your butt blasted. Now there really isn't any place to hide if we go to an all out nuclear war. The politicians may think that they could crawl in a hole and by hiding be safe but the truth is that they would just be postponing their end. The world that they destroy will leave them with a world that they are totally unfit for.

When the leadership knows tha they will pay a part of the price for fighting a stupid war now seems to have made it less attractic to them. NOBODY will or can win a nuclear war. THAT sort of defeats the purpose of going to war.

Now if we could just get them to stop the endless posing and fighting small wars that we use small nations the we "support" to satisfy the desire to send people off to die. We "fought" in two "wars", Korea and Vietnam, where we were careful NOT to win. From the time that I was born until I was 24 years old we were killing off our young men carfully fighting but never trying to win our endless wars. It killed and destroyed the lives of hundreds of thousand of young men.

If politicians want to get us in a war if they refuse to win we need to exicute them ALL. They murdered all the young men that they drafted and shipped off to fight in a war that they would not allow them to win. I might feel differently if they had not FORCED our boys to die for people that would not have fought had we not been there. We are STILL in Korea is the only reason South Korea exists and look at what the lost lives of thousands of our young men bought in Vietnam. NADA!

IF we are ever again to fight a war we need to either fight it and WIN or withdraw and execute our leadership and try for something better.

Were I a younger man and believed that a full-throw nuclear war was going to happen, maybe I'd get my family learning Spanish, and move us to the Pampas region of Argentina. I've only worked with three folk from Argentina, all brilliant and nice, super nice guys. Can't judge an entire people based on three, but if one could, wow. What I've read of their culture gives me a great impression. Their music is wondrous.

And if ever there was a nasty nuclear war, the Pampas region would be as near safe as one could achieve. The Northern Hemisphere would be toast.

There are all manner of nuclear throw scenarios from a tactical strike to the cobalt doomsday weapons. The only reason Putin's generals are considering tactical strikes is because America is currently without a Commander in Chief and the European Union is limp wrist.

When Barry Soetoro was president, Putin took what he wanted in the Crimea. Now that the socialist biden regime is running the Executive branch, Putin takes Eastern Ukraine. The Russian generals maybe will attempt to bring in troops from other countries (as they have a long history of doing so), or they could just burn a significant division of Ukraine troop with a tactical nuke. Anybody going to nuke them back?! Hell no!

If their is any threat of a nasty nuclear throw, it would be if China were to nuke an American Navy carrier group. We would retaliate on that one, but China knows that.

"Russian submarine with 'nuclear tsunami' technology vanishes: Report"

    https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/worl...sunami-technology-vanishes-report/ar-AA12ywdQ

"One of Russia's nuclear-powered submarines, named Belgorod, has reportedly vanished from its Arctic harbor, and Western countries fear it could be gearing up to test its advanced weapons systems.

"Belgorod is believed to be armed with 'Poseidon' nuclear torpedoes that supposedly have the ability to traverse hundreds of miles underwater and induce 'nuclear tsunamis' near coastal regions, Italian newspaper La Repubblica reported.

“'This nuclear ‘mega torpedo’ is unique in the history of the world,' submarine expert H.I. Sutton explained on his website Covert Shores. 'Poseidon is a completely new category of weapon. It will reshape naval planning in both Russia and the West, leading to new requirements and new counter-weapons.'

"NATO has warned its members that Belgorod has left its perch in the Arctic harbor, per La Repubblica. Belgorod is believed to be one of the largest submarines in the world and entered service back in July, the New York Post reported. NATO officials reportedly believe it could be headed to the Kara Sea for testing.

"Formally known as the K-329 Belgorod, the submarine has been described as 'the epitome of a new concept of warfare.'"

As if there needed to be any more proof that the North Korean army gets its orders from a nut-case:

"North Korean state media says earlier missile launches were intended to ‘wipe out’ enemies"

    https://www.foxnews.com/world/north...er-missile-launches-intended-wipe-out-enemies

"North Korean state media reported Monday that earlier missile launches were intended to 'hit and wipe out' potential South Korean and U.S. targets following recent U.S. and South Korea naval drills.

"'Through seven times of launching drills of the tactical nuclear operation units, the actual war capabilities … of the nuclear combat forces ready to hit and wipe out the set objects at any location and any time were displayed to the full,' the Korean Central News Agency said.

"State media reported that the aforementioned drills were viewed as military threats by North Korea. The country decided to stage 'the simulation of an actual war' as a result. The drills were meant to check and improve the country's war deterrence while also standing as a warning sign for enemies.

"The drills also took place just one day after North Korea fired ballistic missiles and flew warplanes amid rising tensions between the Asian countries. North Korea had also fired ballistic missiles over Japan on Tuesday in response to earlier training with South Korean navy ships.

"The missiles fired over Japan proved to be North Korea's longest-ever weapons test, with the missiles having the capability to reach the U.S. Pacific territory of Guam and farther. The Japanese government was forced to issue evacuation alerts as result."

    ------------------------------

Old Gzr: Our war games had the purpose of "tickling" North Korea to exhibit its current armament capabilities and locate radar units. The U.S. and Russia do this all the time. Lately, the Russians have been sending up their nuclear-capable bombers.

I know some have a problem discussing A Nuclear World War 3 , so if they can't handle it simply DO NOT watch the video from the above link . Don't sell the video maker short , he is well informed . This link is jam packed with stuff concerning World War Three that likely most do not know . For instance , the United States air force have now turned their trackers off their aircraft and went dark . Russia may be contemplating attacking the U.K. .

"Russia 'plotting to sabotage Norway to UK gas pipeline over winter', experts fear"

    https://www.mirror.co.uk/news/uk-news/russia-plotting-sabotage-norway-uk-28357059

"Russia could be planning to sabotage a North Sea pipeline from Norway to the UK cutting the country off from a vital supply over the winter months, it is reported.

"The 5,500-mile Langeled pipeline takes around a fifth of the natural gas that the UK uses and Western intelligence is believed to be concerned that it could be targeted by Russia.

"Parts of mainland Europe have been left without vital gas supplies due to pipelines from Russia having the amount delivered reduced or entirely switched off.

"With the war raging in Ukraine, Vladimir Putin has appeared to be using the supply of energy as a tool in the war with the West.

"And explosions last month on the Nord Stream gas pipelines have been put down to sabotage by Sweden and Denmark as well as many other world leaders although they have not said who is responsible.

"Now there is a fear that Russia could try to attack the UK’s gas supplies over the cold winter months.

“'Sabotage is the next step if they want to escalate by attacking Britain's critical energy infrastructure because we are so fragile,' said a NATO source, reported the Mail.

“'And it's no coincidence that Britain has been one of Ukraine's biggest backers.'

"With greater dependence now on Norwegian gas across Europe, it is being seen as a realistic target for sabotage.

“'As a strategic target for sabotage, Norwegian gas pipelines are probably the highest value target in Europe,' said Stale Ulriksen, researcher at the Royal Norwegian Naval Academy, reported the Mail.

"So far drones have been seen flying over gas infrastructure in Norwegian and several Russian nationals have been arrested."

thats not really a surprise to anyone, Putin has been weaponising heating fuel since the invasion began.
he is now trying to bomb Ukrainian power supplies and force civilians/non combatants to sit in the dark and the cold this coming winter.

Ukraine has hit Russian oil platforms in the Black Sea. One wonders if North Sea oil platforms will be targeted by Russia. Ukraine claimed that the Russians were using their platforms not only for oil extraction, but also for military purposes. Russia could just claim the same about oil platforms operated by NATO countries.

"The High Value of the North Sea"

    https://hcss.nl/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/Value-of-the-North-Sea-HR.pdf

    "4.3 Military threats

"All seven North Sea states are NATO Member States, five are also EU Member States. This
fact alone renders military threats to or in the North Sea limited. But being one of the busiest
maritime areas with considerable economic value, and with great power competition back
on the geopolitical agenda, the North Sea also constitutes an interesting military target for
possible opponents. From its proximity and strategic geographic orientation, Russia is the
main military threat in the North Sea region. China also exerts influence in the North Sea
through its commercial presence and its Maritime Silk Road initiative. As China’s influence and
the political and economic importance of the North Sea expands, China might in the future
consider protecting its assets by posturing its rapidly expanding and advancing naval force,
even though today it is unlikely that China can even sustain power projection efforts in the
Indian Ocean, a region much more central to Chinese interests and closer to the homeland.
Chinese military deployment in the North Sea is very unlikely in the period up to 2035, as a
result. In this section, we therefore concentrate on the Russian military threat.

"For the Russian Federation and its military, the North Sea has great strategic value. The sea is
located between three critical sea lane choke points: the Danish Straits, the English Channel,
and the Norwegian Sea. Both Russia’s Baltic Fleet and Northern Fleet find their theatre of
operations in and close to the North Sea. The Baltic Fleet has its headquarters at Kaliningrad
and St. Petersburg. Its main tasks rest in sea denial and blockades. Russia is dependent on
unopposed passage through the North Sea to deploy its Baltic Fleet elsewhere. Russia’s
Northern Fleet, with its main base in Severomorsk, must pass the Greenland-Iceland-UK Gap
    (GIUK) to sail the Atlantic.

"The confined nature of the North Sea means that the transit of Russian naval assets
immediately implies a show of force, whether intended or unintended, putting pressure on the North
Sea states. All seven being NATO members, this complicates Russia’s ability to maneuver
freely for access to the high seas. As not usual for issues concerning the use of the open seas,
the tension between law and politics here clearly surfaces. The North Sea poses a
challenge and an opportunity to Russia. On the one hand it can act as a NATO stronghold,
jeopardizing Russia’s access to the world seas. On the other hand,Russian presence is a sign of its
increasing military strength, dauntlessness, and potentially threatening nature. The Russian
navy might engage militarily in the North Sea primarily to project power and display its military
capabilities. Its presence in the middle of the NATO and EU sphere of influence would assert
its position as a strong military actor. Naval power projection can be used through attacks on
Sea Lines of Communication (trade routes), attacks on offshore and onshore targets, kinetic
and cyberattacks and all forms of unconventional maritime warfare. Power can be projected
by carrying out military exercises in other countries’ EEZ. Through power projection, a state
actor can disrupt the adversary, damage or destroy its assets or take control of an area to
    support a campaign."

China has warned Putin about using nuclear weapons against Ukraine and the West, so this threat may have diminished a little bit.
Putin is relying more on his Chinese allies after the West pulled back from using Russian resources like oil and gas.

The war has taken an interesting turn as Old Geezer reported above . Attacks on petroleum pipelines have been conducted . Now attacks on off shore oil platforms . If this strategy continues and perhaps escalates we will indeed see interesting times ahead as petroleum fuel becomes a page in history . The self sufficient prepper will be just fine but may have to defend their resources as shown on the folks guarding the oil well on the movie the " Road Warrior " .

its funny sometimes when I read other forums posts, just how many people once everything collapses they think they can still have the same kind of lifestyle with all the resources they had before.
they dont seem to realise that life will be different and we will be spending most of the daylight hours outdoors.

A LOT of people can't image a world that is much different from the one that they live in. If things go totally down the tubes they will either lay down and die or go crazy and make someone kill them. Think about the people on welfare now. Do you think that they are going to change and take care of themselves and their needs? They are ENTITLED and will demand that you feed them or else. Those that give in to them will die with them.

If you can't manage to provide for yourself in THIS easy sociaty there is no way theu will survive in a collapse. Most of them will be dead before a year passes. Those of us that plan on surviving will offer them two choices. Go away or die here. If they threaten me they will have chosen to die here and NOW.

The difference between those that survive and those that die may well be who can adapt to a kill or be kill world fastest. When people get hungry they will get UGLY. Those that have lived leaching off people for their entire lives are going to become deadly. I plan on closing my gate and posting a sign that tells them straight up that if you enter without permission that you will be DOG FOOD! Permission will be only for people that I know, like, and think will be worthwhile or people that can convince me that they have skills that I might value.

I would like to have about 20 to 25 people in my area that could help me secure our area. I live on a dead end road so if I close and control entrance there will be a certain amount of security.

In a total collapse the rules are going to quickly revert to the old rules. Survival of the fittest will have a new meaning. No matter how physically fit you are, no matter what you have stored, or what preparations you have made there is one overriding thing that is going to be a life or death decision. Are yu going to be WILLING to kill anyone that might be a threat to you before they attack you???

I know that sounds HARSH but the fact is that if you let a threat walk away eventually one of them is going to kill you. ,All they need is a rifle and one bullet and the will to pull the trigger and you are DEAD. If you are prepared you will have food and water and all the things that you need to survive until things level out again and into the new normal. Those that made NO preperations at ALL are not going to just starve quietly. I know a lot of people today that basically go to the store almost every day to buy something to cook for supper.

The welfare slugs are going to expect people to continue to feed them OR ELSE. Even people that you may think of as fairly sane now will not stay that way for long when the entire world and only world that they know turns upside DOWN. CRAZY will become a much more variable thing with new meanings. A person that can’t adapt and tries to live as if things were not vastly different is crazy while the person that seems to suddenly be almost at home in this mess might now be a survivor.

A LOT of people are going to go totally off the deep end or into denial. I used to worry a lot about my parents. My Dad was a survivor but my Mom would never have been able to cope with a loss of civilization. She was tuff in some ways but too kind and giving to make it. She tended to see in people what she wanted to believe rather than what was really there.

I didn't say that the Ruskies had attacked oil platforms. Ukraine forces have hit Russian oil platforms in the Black Sea. So far, it's only been Ukrainian forces who have done so. The Ukrainian military has said that Russia was using these as military storage facilities and forward staging areas.

The North Sea is a potential area of conflict. An undersea gas pipeline delivering Russian natural gas has already been destroyed. Russia could retaliate against pipelines out of Scandinavia into England. The Russians could target North Sea oil platforms. So far, they have NOT done so. Were Russia to do so, then that would create a very tedious situation, let us say.

I'm hoping that Putin will soon croak and that some more level-headed individual take his place. Can't say I have much hope that his successor will be any better. The Kremlin is not exactly the place to find any souls who are spiritually alive. Dead eyes. Dead souls. Zero empathy. Greed and nothing else.

a lot of people go to the store daily, I only go to the corner store once a week to get perishable goods( mostly fruit that isnt grown in this country-like bananas) but you see the same people every time, I knew a lot of people when I lived in a city who went shopping on the way home from work just for that evenings meal, and hardly anyone takes a packed lunch they go to the store and buy expensive sandwiches or a wrap and a drink. even people that do shop only buy enough for about 3 days, in a crisis they will soon run out of food.

We have lived out in the country for a long time. A trip to the store in an hour and a half total, a half hour each way on the road and a half hour there. We do a big shopping trip once a month and then hit a small local country store once a week for the little things that we run out of. as much as possible we spend our money in our little town. A little country store is not a convience store. They have butcher that cuts meat and fresh vegitables on hand. It has most of what you need on a daily basis.

sounds similar to what we do, once a month big shop at a supermarket(actually 2) 45 minutes travel each way, 30 minutes in one store, 40 minutes in the other.
we have a small corner store less than 1 mile from our front door where we shop one day a week for the incidentals.
we order our meat from a farm which delivers direct to our door.

My wife keeps on making these large suppers. I tell her, "We don't need to eat like this!" Costs a freaking fortune!

When I go to the grocery, I get what we need, then buy some canned beans and canned meat for the survival larder. Got to eat what you store then replenish that which you have consumed. We've not dug into the survival rice -- maybe should do so. Rice with O2 absorbers will last years and years and years.

Where I was raised rice was used as a common starch with a lot of meals built around it. With a little bit of meat you made a lot of gravy and put that on rice. I guess that to some extent we used rice in the place of potatoes. I suspect that we got too much rain for potatoes. My Dad grew those small red new potatoes but he had a raised beding area for them. He just never had much luck with the bigger taters. We were only a few feet above sea level and it was mostly a high spot in a swamp. This was actually a great place to be a kid. I hunted, fished, frog gigged, swam, and camped all walking distance from my home and yet lived in a city (1oo,ooo people) with all of those advantages.

Sir Walter Raleigh brought Potatoes back from America in the 16th century, not sure what people ate before that, probably Oats which were made into Oatcakes, Raleigh was a Devonian.
Raleigh and his cousin Drake who was born in Tavistock owned the Devon port of Bideford and could bring in imports without having to pay the huge taxes of other ports of the time.
Rice isnt grown in Britain, it has to be imported, anyone who served in the Indian Army would have eaten rice but it wasnt eaten in Britain until after WW2, probably came in with the Windrush (West Indian) generation, Vesta boil in the bag savoury rice became available in the late 60s. I personally didnt eat Rice as a main dish ( as opposed to Rice Pudding) until 1985 .
meat and two veg including roast potatoes were the standard meal in Britain in the 50s and 60s.

"US Military Goes on High Alert After Intel Reveals 'Imminent' Attack"

    https://www.westernjournal.com/us-military-goes-high-alert-intel-reveals-imminent-attack-report/

"As widespread anti-government protests continue to rage in the streets of Iran, leaders of the Islamic Republic seemingly seek a deadly distraction.

"According to The Wall Street Journal, that distraction could come in the form of potential terrorist attacks on multiple U.S. targets in Saudi Arabia and Iraq. The outlet was told by officials from both countries that attacks could be 'imminent.'

“'We are concerned about the threat picture, and we are in constant contact through military, diplomatic & intelligence channels with the Saudis,' said @StateDeptSpox. 'We will not hesitate to act in the defense of our interests and partners in the region.' #Iran #SaudiArabia https://t.co/ROJEhuhPTs pic.twitter.com/zMkg9M7eQ2

"Russian defense chiefs discussed nuclear use"

    https://www.daily-sun.com/post/653683/Russian-defense-chiefs-discussed-nuclear-use:-report

"High-level Russian military leaders recently discussed when and how they might use tactical nuclear weapons on the battlefield in Ukraine, the New York Times reported Wednesday citing unnamed US officials.

"Russian President Vladimir Putin did not take part in the discussions, and there was no indication that the Russian military had decided to deploy the weapons, which would sharply escalate the war, the Times said.

"White House national security spokesman John Kirby said he did not have any comment on the details in the report.

"But in a statement sent to AFP he said any comments on the use of nuclear weapons by Russia are "deeply concerning," and said the United States takes them seriously.

"The most recent threat came from former Russian president and senior security council official Dmitry Medvedev.

"Medvedev said on Tuesday that Ukraine's objective to reclaim all its territories occupied by Russia, which include the Donbas region and Crimea, would be a "threat to the existence of our state."

"That, Medvedev said, would be "a direct reason" to invoke nuclear deterrence.

"However, early Wednesday Putin's spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that Western media was 'deliberately pumping up the topic of the use of nuclear weapons.'

"Moscow does 'not have the slightest intention to take part in this,' he said, calling the NYT report 'very irresponsible.'"

"Ukraine War 'Warmup' for U.S. in Face of China Threat: Stratcom Commander"

    https://www.newsweek.com/ukraine-war-us-china-threat-warning-charles-richard-1756972

    "...

"'We have to do some rapid, fundamental change in the way we approach the defense of this nation," he continued. "I will tell you, the current situation is vividly illuminating what nuclear coercion looks like and how you, or how you don't stand up to that.

"'As I assess our level of deterrence against China, the ship is slowly sinking. It is sinking slowly, but it is sinking, as fundamentally they are putting capability in the field faster than we are,' Richard said. 'As those curves keep going, it isn't going to matter how good our [operating plan] is or how good our commanders are, or how good our horses are—we're not going to have enough of them. And that is a very near-term problem.'

"'[We need to] flip it to the way we used to ask questions in this nation, which is what's it going to take? Is it money? Is it people? Do you need authorities? What risk? That's how we got to the Moon by 1969. We need to bring some of that back. Otherwise, China is simply going to out-compete us, and Russia isn't going anywhere anytime soon.'"

https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/worl...2d8f33c4f4a419e9cc7aae066b9b1&category=foryou --- Here is a video of the poisdon underwater drone . This should be proof enough that this thing actually does exist . The question for many though , is it ready for deployment ? One use for this nuclear capable device would be according to " Canadian Prepper " on the post I placed earlier today on the thread the " War in Ukraine " , is to destroy submarines so as to take them out before they can launch Nuclear Missiles . We may all know whether the poisdon drone actually works or not any time now . It is a good thing we are all ready for " teotwawki " . --- This is one huge torpedo .

The Poseidon drone torpedo failed for whatever reason.

    Our counterpart(s) work(s).

So do our space-based weapons that "do not exist".

I don't know about the other parts of the US but invading Texas would be pure hell. Almost every man here has a deer rifle and is able to hit a man sized target from hundreds of yards away...We are also a pretty pugnacious sort of people as I heard multipal times from people that had come down here in the 80s from up north in the 80s when the auto industry slowed down. Evidently people in the northern states yell and scream at each other more than we do here without it turning into blood and bruises from a physical fight.

In Texas you don’t EVER start yelling at a man and then poke him with your finger or touch him in any way. I’m 70 and that would get you punched in the face. It is just NOT allowed. I might get myself beat up but at least I would be able to look myself in the face in a mirror without seeing a coward. People are just different in different places. Death before dishonor and NOTHING is lower than a coward.

Texas would first have to get hit with neutron bombs which irradiate people to death but leave buildings intact.

Too, neutron bombs do not contaminate the soil with radioactive material. These atmosphere bursts do not suck-up materials from the ground to create fallout.

"Two killed in Poland after Russian missile strike crossing into NATO territory"

    https://www.foxnews.com/world/russi...poland-kill-2-senior-us-intelligence-official

"Two people were reportedly killed after a projectile struck and area where grain was drying in the village of Przewodów near the Ukrainian border.

"The Pentagon told reporters that it was taking the reports "seriously and looking into them.

"'Right now we are aware of the press reporting on this and we have no information at this time to corroborate those reports,' Pentagon Press Secretary Brig. Gen. Pat Ryder said. 'I don't want to speculate or get into hypotheticals when it comes to our security commitments.

"'We've been crystal clear that we will defend every inch of NATO territory,' he said in reference to Article 5.

"President Biden has repeatedly said the U.S. will be steadfast in its support for Poland or any NATO member nation in the face of Russia's aggression."

"Biden renewed these commitments in later September when he address Russian President Vladimir Putin from the White House and said, 'We’re fully prepared to defend…our NATO Allies. To defend every single inch of NATO territory — every single inch.

"'So, Mr. Putin, don’t misunderstand what I’m saying: every inch,' he added. "

it was probably a Russian missile that went off course although the Ukrainians have some Russian made weapons too especially after a lot was left behind in the Russian retreat, so it could be either but I suspect it came from the Russian Troops.

Too, the missile could have been of Ukrainian origin. Ukraine wishes to get NATO involved in this regional war.

"US flies supersonic bombers in response to North Korea's new ICBM launch"

    https://www.foxnews.com/world/us-flies-supersonic-bombers-response-north-koreas-new-icbm-launch

"The B-1B – which reportedly irks Kim over its ability to deliver a massive payload of conventional guided and unguided weapons – has been dubbed the 'backbone' of the U.S.’s bomber force according to a statement by the U.S. Air Force.

"'It can rapidly deliver massive quantities of precision and non-precision weapons against any adversary, anywhere in the world, at any time,' the statement said. Adding that its 'low-radar cross-section' allows the bomber to form 'an integrated, robust defense system that supports penetration of hostile airspace.'

"At Japan’s request, the U.N. Security Council scheduled an emergency meeting for Monday regarding North Korea’s latest ballistic missile launch.

"Though the council’s ability to do anything to punish Pyongyang seems unlikely given China and Russia’s blockade earlier this year on attempts to further sanction North Korea for violating UN charter by expanding its nuclear and ballistic capabilities. "

"Russia Vs US Nukes: A Comparative Analysis (2022 Updated)"

    https://transatlantictoday.com/russia-vs-us-nukes-a-comparative-analysis-2022-updated/

"Business Insider’s publication reports that Russia has a nuclear arsenal containing 6,850 nuclear warheads (1,600 deployed, 2,750 stored, and 2,500 retired). On the other hand, the United States has 6,450 nuclear weapons in its arsenal (1,750 deployed, 2,050 stored, and 2,650 retired).

"According to Statista, the United States had 5,428 nuclear weapons as of January 2022, while Russia’s arsenal included 5,997 nuclear warheads. The Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists estimates that Russia’s nuclear arsenal has a stockpile of around 4,477 warheads. In contrast, the United States has around 3,708 warheads.

"Russia and the United States have more nuclear weapons than the rest combined, accounting for 90 per cent of the world’s total arsenal. This is true despite conflicting claims on stocks. According to Statista, China has 350 nuclear weapons, making it the nation with the third-most nuclear weapons overall. According to Business Insider, China has 280."

    -----------------------------------------------------

As far as strategic nuclear weapons go, Russia has us by a bit. With what America currently has and given our superiority in stealth aircraft, fighters and bombers, we could make Russia go away several times over.

As far as tactical/tactical nuclear weapons go, Russia has us beaten hands down. Russia sees no problem using low-grade nukes as if they were simply huge conventional weapons.

China we could make go away and they could attempt to retaliate but they haven't that capability so far -- they are working on this. Our nuclear subs in the Pacific could kill almost a billion Chinese and still have a lot of missiles left over.

    ----------------------

    https://www.washingtonpost.com/world/2022/10/05/russia-nuclear-weapons-military-arsenal/

As Russia’s military retreats on the battlefield, Vladimir Putin’s rhetoric about using nuclear weapons is escalating.

"Russia’s president has been warning of nuclear consequences with increasing intensity since the first week of his war in Ukraine — when he put his arsenal on higher alert. Now he is threatening to use nuclear weapons to defend the Ukrainian territory that Russia has illegally annexed.

"It is very unlikely that Russia would use its most powerful nuclear weapons to settle scores with Kyiv; Moscow is far more likely, experts agree, to use a smaller nuclear weapon in the hopes of achieving a specific battlefield objective. But, those same experts caution, once a nuclear weapon is unleashed, controlling what happens next is difficult.

“'Once you start talking nukes, all bets are off,' said Hans Kristensen, the director of the Nuclear Information Project at the Federation of American Scientists. 'So it’s not clear how far this will go.'

"But when it comes to the tactical weapons, the U.S. intelligence community can only offer its best guess, and different agencies have differing estimates. The ballpark figure they have settled on is between 1,000 and 2,000 tactical weapons (which, it should be noted, can be launched from ground launchers, ships and bombers but are not pre-deployed). After careful study, the Federation of American Scientists put its estimate at 1,912 — although it cautions that this could include weapons being retired or taken offline.

"A far more likely candidate is the 9K720 Iskander missile system, classified by NATO as the SS-26, which is a ground-based ballistic missile. But according to Kristensen of the Federation of American Scientists, there are far fewer of these in Russia’s arsenal — only about 100 weapons. So why would Iskander be the nuclear delivery system of choice?

“'Simply because it’s the most reliable, and the one that would have the best chance of making it to its target,' Kristensen said. 'Not being shot down, not failing.'"
    ------------------------------------------------------------------

Old Geezer: Reliability is a major issue. I believe that Russia's tactical nuclear weaponry is a real issue. They are still developing these puppies, after all. Numerous intel sources however wonder about their strategic weaponry. Couple of years back, Russia began testing their intercontinental ballistic missiles. Why? THEY were concerned. We know that they started building missile delivery systems. Why. 1) They do not trust what they have; 2) Building weaponry is a "provide-jobs" effort for Russia. Shoot, our American military is not exactly happy about what we have and our systems are head'n'shoulder above the technology that Russia possesses.

Guys this is getting very serious . I decided not to post a link to some of the recently developing military posturing as it would likely be condemned as fake or coming from a bad source . I hope most of you are getting information from non-military or non- government sanctioned sources . You may want to do your own investigating as to the situation we are in today . -- Look at the war ships moved into position and the training of military personnel for an upcoming World War 3 .

For a major throw of nukes, I don't see the Ukraine conflict setting one off and neither does anyone else. Russia isn't going to hit NATO. Theater nukes may just be used by Russia against Ukraine. Currently Russia is gutting the water and power delivery infrastructure of Ukraine. This is something that Russia can accomplish and will have a catastrophic impact on the people of Ukraine. Western Europe will be in an ice-box situation this winter and a couple of nations are already backing-off on their criticisms of Russia so as to keep their natural gas pipelines from being cut.

China vs USA is the more likely flash-point. The U.S. Navy is moving a serious number of assets into the South China Sea even as we speak. I actually believe that China would nuke a carrier group given a severe enough conflict. After that, we would respond with a hell on Earth tidal wave of doom. China has no where near our number of strategic nukes, but they sure could kill tens of millions of Americans before going down. Their hitting our West Coast naval bases would also take-out population centers.

The psychotic leadership of North Korea could very easily pull a stupid. If they did so and we went Old Testament on them, Russia could be provoked -- such a war wold be way too close to Vladivostok.

America could easily be the target of an EMP attack. We are very vulnerable in this realm. We also have our own EMP devices that could make China go dark.

And the press pushes their story of Ukraine being run by a bunch of angels.

Seems the Left needs a war to cover-up rising inflation and failed policies. Same happened with Woodrow Wilson, FDR, and Lyndon Johnson. By the way, FDR's New Deal didn't work -- there was more unemployment after the New Deal than at its start. Wars get people employed, but wars run up national debts like mad.

The area of Ukraine that Russia in attempting to incorporate is populated by people with Russian ties. In this Eastern area, the former USSR developed many industries and these industries were often run by native Russians. Guess what, they brought their families with them.

The Ukrainian government has been mightily corrupt. Biden and his son were benefiting from this corruption long before brain-dead biden became president.
