Fires and how to put them out!

So here on this forum there are dozens of ways to make fire etc!
But what about controlling fires !

If you are holed up somewhere how do you prevent others using fire/smoke to defeat you?

But first maybe we could suggest all the ways fire can be used against you and then later discuss the soloutions!

First up is the old standard the Molotov cocktail
Then there is some sort of flame thrower
Maybe setting the bush alight upwind
Flooding the place with petrol/kero etc then lighting it!
