I'm posting this link here since article is multi-themed.

Note "calming effect" and "relax so much".

Had once considered beekeeping but travel too much. I do patronize the beekeepers in the area equivalent of this West Virginia vet program.

 

I have always been a huge proponent for honey. Nice to see it benefitting the Veterans in West Virginia. Here is a link that details some of the health benefits.

As most of us know it is a forever food. I keep honey in all of my BOB's, and it is an integral part of our food preps. I also have a neighbor who is a bee keeper, so we buy his honey which is made locally.

Honey has been called "the nectar of the gods".

 

it is said that honey was found in one of the Egyptian pyramids and it was still good. Not sure who ate it to verify this.

 

They said that about wheat berry too but I think that one is questionable.

 

As I understand it honey will crystalize with age. It can be reconstituted with water, and retains all of its nutritional value, and flavor. I have also read that honey was found in the Pyramids, and I don't know who tasted it. I would probably give it a try, but then again, I have never been accused of being the sharpest knife in the drawer. IMHO if there were any ill effects they would have been mentioned.
