I do not believe "all Americans share some of the financial burden".

Bloomberg falsifies some material. Climate costs do not "become socialized". Mortgages, insurance rates and the rest are governmental even if administered by private sector orgs.

For the record: I DO believe in climate change and global warming.

Re "rates tend to be more regressive than taxes"; Well, they're not. Both are regressive and the comparisons depend on what's being compared. Just don't live in nice scenic, comfortable California unless rich. Aforesaid applicable to the rest of the fruited plain.

The comments following article are A+. The Texas event in February was not about global warming. It was about freezing.
