    Food prepareing a cook kit is a must number one to have is a dutch oven two is a skillet three a coffee pot allso a grill and grittle along with spoons forks knifes and plates these can be plastic to save weight heavy bulky yes but worth the triouble thee basic iteams can and will make good meals i recommend old cast irion for the oven and skillet these will work and last best on open fire cooking and any type of stove

    Many years ago we were ice fishing and we wanted to be able to cook so i took a old 12in pie pan drilled a hole in middle and bent the outter edge down that it fit on top of my coleman lantern this gave us light heat and a way to cook many good times and meals

    A Sun Oven is also a great tool to have on hand if you can afford one. A basic one costs between $300-$400 USD. The site also has some great information about being prepared in an emergency and how cooking actually works with this contraption. I have never personally used one but I have seen them used and have eaten the proceeds. It was delicious and cooked all the way through.
