Years ago I picked up a book called Australian Bushcraft by Ron Edwards. It's a great book on making do on a homestead. Years later I found out Mr. Edwards wrote more books. They are available from Ramsskull Press.
The are a bit hard to find in the states but I see them on ebay and abes once in a while. Those folks in the outback are very creative.

I must be missing something on this site. I do not see how to download. The place that says "download" gives alittle pop-up saying the author does not allow downloads.

That is because that particular author isn’t making the book a free download but is allowing people to read it for free on that site. Some authors are giving their work away for free on that site, though.

That site has been up for a long time and has digital versions of thousands of books, magazines, and newspapers.

I like to hoard and read digital books for free and save my paper / hardcover books for when the digital world goes dark. In a WROL world, I would burn the last of my fuel to empty out a library.

Me too! I am a bookaholic of any form of knowledge: digital, paper, stone tablet...lol

These issuu digital copies of the titles that I have been posting about on this and other threads are the only "free-to-read" versions I could find (that looked legit without downloading a virus).

Free (legal) is the best bargain going. So I have to sit in from of m laptop, no big deal. I bookmark the site and then go back as time allows. Reading and hopefully learning something is my main source of entertainment. I don't listen to the radio (for known reasons), I turn on the boobtube ( TV to you younger folks) about once a month, so reading is my number one joy (okay 2nd, --shooting is #1).
