The airborne command and communications planes have an interesting slang identification.

My threat title might not be accurate. This Strategic organization, although USAF uniforms are worn, is part of the Department of Defense strategic org.

The analogy is that the missile platform submarines ("SSBN") are not in the USN - as per the arrangements - (Important). They are part of the Strategic nuclear forces. The fast attack subs (SSN") are USN.

At one time Army was involved in this.

This ends my knowledge of these arrangements.
