I found this through another forum my friend recommended.

Seemed like it would be good so I literally just signed up, so far so good and I'm enjoying myself!

Been into this stuff for a while but never though of searching for a forum for it

I actually found this page through a basic internet search. I just sort of popped in to see what sort of topics were in here and I sort of became a permanent fixture. I have learned so much from this page so far, and am happy to see it growing continuously. (Oh, I eventually found it on Facebook as well)

 

Found it online while I was looking for survival gear, it pointed me to a thread here that had info about backpacks and tents (can't really find that specific thread though). I'm glad I did, before joining this forum I'd never found a community of survivalists, I thought I was the only one that entertained the idea of living in the wild and giving up this urban lifestyle.
I love all the resources and stories here!

I should have know that with so many people interested in the subject, there would be a place where people could get together and share ideas and suggestions, and learn from those who have really put some thought and effort into being prepared for whatever the future might bring.

 

Speaking of tents....have you ever read the section of the Boy Scouts Guide that talks about tent-making? You know how they get badges for learning how to make all those different kinds of knots? Well, there are so many ways to make a tent, too. Some involve shaping the corners by using string or a nearby tree. It's really incredible. It's free to read online. You should definitely check it out.

 

I haven't, actually. I know how to make a lot of tent knots but I'm sure there are many more types that I haven't yet discovered, should be worth looking into. Do you have a direct link for the section?

Was recommended to me on another forum as a 'pretty decent' resource on surviving after SHTF. After being here for a little while, I can confirm, holy hell did that guy sell this place short. This is one of the most cordial survivalist forums out there and the amount of contributers and research y'all have is staggering. I really do like this place a lot.

Funny story. I went camping and i was wondering how to make a fire and the essentials to bring on wild camping, so my friend told me about this website. It's really been helpfull so far.

I went on youtube looking up people who show their stock piles, to everyone who does not do that, it's pretty cool to see how others have built up there stock, you should check it out. Well anyways, someone did something that made me do some research on google about surviving, I was looking up ways to create your own electricity generator from water, and I found a link to this forum, I love this site because I never found a place where it's strictly people with similar interest in regards to survival, prepping, safety, etc on the internet. The title of the site is very defining, "My Survival Forum". Great name.

 

Searching and surfing the net for paid forum posting sites lead me to this site and this is one of those sites i enjoy posting and learning as well.

 

I've actually found this forum via PostLoop...I started with forum posting a while ago and realised that I actually enjoyed it. I got soooo excited to see this forum on the list! I'm a newbie when it comes to survival things and never really thought of searching for a forum to learn more about it. I'm really glad I've found this one!

Facebook, same as most others by the looks of it. See, FB IS good for some things - ha!

 

I told a friend I was getting bored of sites like reddit and I wanted something more educational, so they sent me a link with a list of various different forums educating people about tons of different topics. This one was definitely the most interesting and most useful!

 

Most people say facebook but I found it through postloop where you get paid to post comments and opinions with good grammar. Try it now if you like answering in this kind of sites. Take not you have to make your comments sensible and lengthy.
