Rachid Soubaa' website seems like it has some good info! Thank you for the share!

I have always used 1, or all, of these methods, always with success:
    1. Aloe Vera - If you cut a leaf from the plant and slice it down the middle, long-ways, you can rub the gel contained inside directly onto the affected area.
    2. Baking Soda - If you have a washtub, or a bathtub, fill it with warm water and add 1 to 2 cups baking soda to the soak. Make sure you take a nice, long soak in this for it to e effective! Bring a book, and relax for 1/2 an hour
    3. Burdock Root - Bur oil, otherwise known as burdock root extract, can be applied directly to the itch.
    4. Basil Salve - Using my the basic instructions for an Herbal Salve I posted on this forum a little over a week ago, >>HERE<<, You can use Basil leaves as your paramount herb. Basil contains the substance eugenol which can numb the nerve endings that cause itchiness.

A lot of herbal remedies like this can be found in The Lost Book Of Herbal Remedies. I review it on my blog in the recommendations tab in the upper right hand menu >>HERE<< - feel free to check it out anytime! I love getting visitors! I'm glad to hear you are opening up to alternative remedies. I have been using them for many years, and have slowly but surely started picking up the knowledge to craft and create many of these wonderful, helpful plant medicines!
